摘要: An electric rotating machine includes a rotor and a stator. The rotor has a plurality of pairs of magnetic poles. The stator includes a stator core and a stator coil that is comprised of a plurality of phase windings wound on the stator core. The stator core has, for each of the phase windings of the stator coil, n circumferentially-consecutive single-phase slots, in which only the phase winding is received, per magnetic pole of the rotor, where n is a natural number not less than 2. Each of the phase windings of the stator coil has first to kth sections that are sequentially arranged from one end to the other end of the phase winding, where k is a natural number not less than 2. The first section is received in different ones of the single-phase slots for the phase winding from the kth section.

摘要: In a rotating electric machine, a stator includes a stator core and three phase windings. In the stator core, a plurality of slots arrayed in a circumferential direction are formed. The three phase windings are wound around the stator core. The three phase windings include first, second, and third windings. One end of the first winding is provided further towards an outer side of the stator in a radial direction than a division line that divides the slot into two in the radial direction of the stator. One end of the second winding is provided further towards an inner side of the stator in the radial direction than the division line. One end of the third winding is provided between the one end of the first winding and the one end of the second winding relative to the radial direction of the stator, with at least a single slot therebetween.

The control unit is configured to change a total amount of current flowing through respective phase windings depending on a rotational speed of the rotary electric machine.

The controller is configured to perform either the first power conversion control or the second power conversion control when an effective value of drive current through each winding is less than a threshold, and otherwise switch between the first power conversion control and the second power conversion control.

Each of the phase windings is divided into 2n portions in an extending direction so that each of the phase windings is configured by a first partial winding, a second partial winding, . . . , and a 2n-th partial winding arranged from one end positioned in the extending direction in sequence. The first partial winding and the 2n-th partial winding are inserted into different in-phase slots of the stator core. Counted from one end positioned in the extending direction, the 2m-th (1≦m≦n) partial winding at an even-numbered position and the (2m−1)-th partial winding are inserted into different in-phase slots of the stator core.
