Abstract:
The invention relates to a system for dosed dispensing of a fluid, comprising a container for the fluid and a dispensing device connected therewith, wherein the container comprises a form-retaining outer container and a flexible inner container connected therewith, wherein a space to be brought into fluid communication with the ambient atmosphere can be developed between the inner and outer containers, and wherein the dispensing device includes a housing and/or frame of which at least a part is integrally formed with the container. The invention further relates to a method of manufacturing a system for dosed dispensing of a fluid, comprising the steps of: manufacturing a container for the fluid, said container comprising a form-retaining outer container and a flexible inner container connected therewith; manufacturing a dispensing device comprising a housing and/or a frame; and assembling the container and the dispensing device; wherein at least a part of the dispensing device housing and/or frame is integrally formed with the container, and wherein assembling the container and the dispensing device comprises mounting a non-integrated part of the dispensing device in the part of the dispensing device housing and/or frame which is integrally formed with the container.
Abstract:
A gas-filled resilient body and uses thereof are described. The gas-filled resilient body may be used as a valve member, as a spring or as a gas-propelled dispenser.
Abstract:
A device for dispensing a material includes a reservoir for the material and an outlet channel connectable thereto. The reservoir has a tubular body partially filled with pressurized gas and partially filled with the material to be dispensed. One end of the tubular body is welded shut and an opposite end is closed by a sealing member extending over at least part of a cross-sectional area of the tubular body. The sealing member is arranged in a sleeve connected to the end of the tubular body opposite the welded end thereof. The sealing member has a pierceable diaphragm and the device may further comprise a piercing member. The sealing member can include a movable valve or can be removably fixed inside the tubular body and the device can include an operating member. The tubular body and the piercing member or operating member, respectively, may be movable towards each other.
Abstract:
A device for dispensing a liquid from a container is disclosed, comprising:
an engine, comprising a nozzle and a pump for transferring liquid from the container to the nozzle; a trigger, moveable between a first position and a second position, connected to the pump for actuating the pump when brought from the first to the second position, and connecting means, for connecting the engine to the container characterized by
a slider with at least one restricting element, slideable between a non-restricting position, in which the trigger is moveable between the first and second position, and a restricting position, in which the at least one restricting element restricts the movement of the trigger between the first and the second position.
Abstract:
A gas-filled resilient body and uses thereof are described. The gas-filled resilient body may be used as a valve member, as a spring or as a gas-propelled dispenser.
Abstract:
A liquid dispensing system includes at least one container for storing the liquid to be dispensed, the at least one container having a neck defining an fill opening for the liquid. The system includes a liquid dispensing device releasably connectable to the at least one container, an exchangeable cartridge for an additive to be mixed with the stored liquid, where the cartridge is accommodated in the neck, and means for opening the cartridge. The cartridge includes a one-piece hollow body filled with the additive and with a pressurized gas, and the opening means include at least one piercing member arranged to pierce a wall of the hollow body. A method of dispensing a liquid by using the liquid dispensing system, and a cartridge for use in the liquid dispensing system and/or method.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a system (1) for dosed dispensing of a fluid, comprising a contain (2) for the fluid and a dispensing device connected therewith, wherein the container comprises a form-retaining outer container (5) and a flexible inner container (4) connected therewith, wherein a space to be brought into fluid communication with the ambient atmosphere can be developed between the inner and outer containers (5, 4), and wherein the dispensing device includes a housing and/or frame of which at least a part is integrally formed with the container. The invention further relates to a method of manufacturing a system for dosed dispensing of a fluid.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a liquid dispensing device comprising: a piston chamber; a piston that is moveable within the piston chamber to pressurise a liquid to be dispensed; a nozzle with a defined throughput for dispensing the liquid; an outlet valve having a defined minimum opening pressure arranged between the piston chamber and the nozzle; and a prime valve for priming the device. The prime valve may be mechanically operable and may be arranged on or in the piston. The liquid dispensing device may further comprise an operating member, which may protrude from an end wall of the piston chamber and which may be arranged to move the prime valve from a closed position to an open position when the moveable piston is near or at an end of its stroke. The outlet valve may be configured to minimize a difference between its opening pressure and its closing pressure. It may comprise a dome and the dome may have a stiffness which varies in radial direction.
