Abstract: Provided are bicomponent fibers with curvature. The bicomponent fiber includes a first region and a second region. The first region includes a polypropylene blend and second region includes an ethylene/alpha-olefin interpolymer composition. The polypropylene blend includes a polypropylene homopolymer and a propylene-ethylene interpolymer, wherein the propylene-ethylene interpolymer has a density of from 0.860 to 0.880 g/cc and a melt flow rate of greater than 12 g/10 min. The ethylene/alpha-olefin interpolymer composition has a density of greater than 0.920 g/cc and a melt index (I2) of from 10 to 25 g/10 min. The bicomponent fiber can be used to form a nonwoven.

Abstract: Provided are bicomponent fibers. The bicomponent fiber comprises a first region and a second region. The first region comprises a first ethylene/alpha-olefin interpolymer, and the second region comprises a second ethylene/alpha-olefin interpolymer. The first ethylene/alpha-olefin interpolymer has a highest peak melting temperature (Tm) less than 130° C. and at least 3.5° C. greater than a highest peak melting temperature of the second ethylene/alpha-olefin interpolymer. The bicomponent fibers can be used for forming nonwovens that in aspect have improved tensile strength, elongation at break, and/or abrasion resistance.

Abstract: In accordance with one embodiment of the present disclosure, a nonwoven web may be manufactured by a process that includes forming a bicomponent fiber and forming the bicomponent fiber into the nonwoven web. The bicomponent fiber may comprise one or more primary polymer regions and two or more secondary polymer regions. The primary polymer regions may comprise polyethylene. The secondary polymer regions may comprise polypropylene, polyester, or polyamide. The primary polymer regions may comprise at least 2.5 wt. % of polypropylene, polyester, or polyamide, or the secondary polymer regions may comprise at least 2.5 wt. % of polyethylene, or both.

Abstract: A nonwoven fabric comprises at least one fiber having a first component prepared from at least 75 wt. % of bimodalethylene/alpha-olefin interpolymer composition, wherein the ethylene/alpha-olefin interpolymer composition is characterized by: a density in the range of 0.930 to 0.965 g/cm3, a melt index (I2) in the range of from 10 to 60 g/10 minutes, wherein the I2 is measured according to ASTM D1238, 190 C, 2.16 kg, a molecular weight distribution, expressed as the ratio of the weight average molecular weight to number average molecular weight (Mw(GPC)/Mn(GPC)) as determined by GPC of from 1.5 to 2.6, a tan delta at 1 radian/second of at least 45, a low temperature peak and a high temperature peak on an elution profile via improved comonomer composition distribution (ICCD) procedure, and a full width at half maximum of the high temperature peak is less than 6.0° C.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides a multi-layer blown film, comprising: a first skin layer and a second skin layer, where at least one of the first skin layer and the second skin layer comprises from 80 to 100 wt. % of a LLDPE, where the LLDPE has a density from 0.910 to 0.935 g/cm3; a core layer between the first skin layer and the second skin layer, where the core layer comprises from 70 to 100 wt. % of a second LLDPE having density from 0.910 to 0.935 g/cm3; and a first inner layer and a second inner layer, where at least one of the first inner layer and the second inner layer comprises from 80 to 100 wt. % of a HDPE, where the HDPE has a density from 0.940 to 0.970 g/cm3; where the multi-layer blown film has a density from 0.925 to 0.940 g/cm3 and a total thickness of 15 to 150 μm.
