The present disclosure provides a coated conductor. The coated conductor includes a conductor and an outermost coating on the conductor. The coating includes (A) an ethylene-based polymer having an I21/I2 ratio from 20 to 50; and (B) a propylene/ethylene copolymer having a Mw/Mn from 2.0 to 3.5. The coating has a surface roughness from 20 μ-inch to 100 μ-inch.

Articles made from a moisture-curable, polymeric composition comprising in weight percent based on the weight of the composition: (A) 2 to less than 80 weight percent (wt %) of an ethylenic polymer with (1) a crystallinity at room temperature of 34% to 55%, or 65% to 80%, and (2) a melt index (I2) of 0.1 to 50 decigrams per minute (dg/min); (B) 3 to 30 wt % of a halogenated flame retardant; (C) 3 to 30 wt % an inorganic antimony flame retardant; and (D) 0 to 10 wt % of at least one of an inorganic flame retardant other than the inorganic antimony flame retardant, e.g., zinc oxide exhibit enhanced ACBD properties in comparison to articles alike in all respects except made from a composition comprising an ethylenic polymer without the requisite crystallinity at room temperature.

The present disclosure provides a process. In an embodiment, the process includes blending a broad molecular weight distribution (MWD) ethylene-based polymer having an 121/12 ratio from 55 to 85 with a narrow MWD ethylene-based polymer having an 121/12 ratio from 20 to 50. The process includes forming a blend component comprising from 20 wt % to 45 wt % of the broad MWD ethylene-based polymer, from 80 wt % to 55 wt % of the narrow MWD ethylene-based polymer, and optional carbon black. The blend component has a density from 0.925 g/cc to 0.955 g/cc and an 121/12 ratio from 30 to 55. The process includes extruding the blend component over a conductor at a rate greater than 1.02 m/s, and forming a conductor jacket having a surface smoothness from 30 μ-inch to 80 μ-inch.

Disclosed herein is a cast film comprising a polyethylene composition comprising the reaction product of ethylene and optionally one or more alpha-olefin comonomers, wherein said polyethylene composition is characterized by the following properties: a melt index, I2, measured according to ASTM D1238 (2.16 kg, 190° C.), of from 1 to 20 g/10 min; a density (measured according to ASTM D792) of from 0.935 to 0.970 g/cm3; a melt flow ratio, I10/I2, wherein I10 is measured according to ASTM D1238 (10 kg, 190° C.) of from 5.5 to 7.0; a molecular weight distribution (Mw/Mn) of from 2.2 to 3.5; and a vinyl unsaturation of greater than 0.12 vinyls per one thousand carbon atoms present in the backbone of the composition.

Embodiments disclosed herein include multilayer films having at least an outer layer that includes 1) polyethylene elastomer and 2) ULDPE or VLDPE and that has a purge fraction greater than 20 percent as determined by Crystallization Elution Fractionation (CEF) test method. Embodiments disclosed herein also include related compositions to make such films and methods of making such films. The ULDPE or VLDPE can be made via Ziegler-Natta catalyst reaction techniques to provide the desired purge fraction.

The instant invention provides microcapillary films. The inventive microcapillary film according to the present invention comprises a first end and a second end, wherein the microcapillary film comprises: (a) a matrix comprising a thermoplastic material, (b) at least one or more channels disposed in parallel in said matrix from the first end to the second end of said film, wherein said one or more channels are at least 1 μm apart from each other, and wherein each said one or more channels have a diameter in the range of at least 1 μm; and wherein said microcapillary film comprise from 10 to 90 percent by volume of voidage, based on the total volume of the microcapillary film, and wherein said one or more channels has a aspect ratio in the range of from 1:1 to 100:1; and wherein said film has a thickness in the range of from 5 μm to 500 μm.
