摘要： An apparatus and method are provided for managing sectors in a transmission operation of a base station including a smart antenna system forming directional beams using a plurality of antenna elements. The apparatus and method comprise determining whether a call connected to a mobile station is a voice call or a data call; multiplying a transmission signal to the mobile station by predetermined complex weight vectors selected according to the call type; and forming a transmission beam for a corresponding sector by summing the multiplied values according to the antenna elements.

摘要： An apparatus and method for determining feedback information detection in a broadband wireless communication system are provided. In the detection determining apparatus, a demodulator correlates each of tiles carrying received feedback information with an orthogonal vector including a pilot symbol in each possible codeword, each tile being a predetermined number of subcarriers, and calculates the squares of the absolute values of the correlations. A codeword correlation calculator sums the squares of the absolute value of the correlations of the tiles for each possible codeword. A detection decider determines whether to perform detection on the feedback information based on the maximum of the sums.

摘要： An apparatus and method for determining feedback information detection in a broadband wireless communication system are provided. 摘要： A method and an apparatus for receiving a Minimum Mean-Squared-Error (MMSE) in a Single-Carrier Frequency Division Multiple Access (SC-FDMA) system is provided. The method includes, transforming a signal in a time domain received through an antenna into a signal in a frequency domain, and discriminating between bands respectively allocated to terminals in a frequency domain, estimating a channel and computing a weight value from the signal transformed into the frequency domain, and detecting an MMSE, computing a time-domain bias from the weight value and a channel estimation value of the signal transformed into the frequency domain, normalizing the detected MMSE by using the computed time-domain bias, and transforming the normalized signal into a normalized signal in a time domain, decoding the normalized signal transformed to the time domain, and transmitting the decoded normalized signal transformed into the time domain to each of the terminals.

摘要： An apparatus and method for detecting a feedback signal in a multi-cell or multi-sector sector BS in a broadband wireless communication system are provided. A demodulator correlates each tile being sets of subcarriers carrying feedback information received from a serving sector/cell with each possible codeword and calculates the squares of the absolute values of the correlations of the tiles for each possible codeword. A first detection decider sums the squares for each possible codeword and determines whether to perform detection on the received feedback information. If it is impossible to detect the feedback information, a second detection decider receives feedback information from a target sector/cell, combines the feedback information received from the serving sector/cell and the target sector/cell, and determines whether to detect the combined feedback information.
