    Abstract: An apparatus for stacking a plurality of folded box blanks such that alternating groups of a predetermined number of folded blanks are superimposed in opposite orientations.     Abstract: A box blank holding device for a box-making machine. In a holder main body of the device, a driving rack is moved when air is supplied to and discharged from a cylinder connected to the rack. A transmission shaft is rotatably supported by the holder main body and has a pair of pinions, one in meshing engagement with the driving rack, and the other in meshing engagement with a pair of holding member-actuating racks disposed on either side thereof. A pair of blank holding members are pivotally mounted on the ends of the holding member-actuating racks in such a manner as to be retractable and projectable into spaced opposed relation facing each other for gripping box blanks therebetween and being guided by retracting-and-projecting guide plates mounted on the holder main body.

    Abstract: A case making machine is provided with an apparatus for folding rear portion of a feeding case blank and the apparatus comprises a claw mechanism for folding the rear portion of the case blank along the folding line. The claw mechanism is rotated at an angular speed which is changed by a cam mechanism operated by a driving source through a drive shaft and a link mechanism. An electromagnetic valve is further provided for controlling the operation of the claw mechanism. The valve is actuated by an electric circuit such that the electromagnetic valve can be operated in synchrony with the advancing speed of the blank. This result is achieved by increasing pulse numbers inputted into the circuit to account for the rise time interval of the electromagnetic valve.

    Abstract: A box blank holding device for a box-making machine has a main body, a driving rack and a motor mechanism for reciprocally moving the driving rack relative to the main body. A transmission shaft is rotatably supported on the main body, the transmission shaft having a pair of pinions, and one of the pinions being in meshing engagement with the driving rack. A pair of holding-member actuating racks are disposed in meshing engagement with the other pinion. Each of the holding-member actuating racks has a holding member pivotally mounted thereto on an end thereof. Each of the holding members also has a roller thereon. The rollers are guided in respective guide grooves provided on the main body for guiding the holding members between projecting and retracted positions for holding and releasing a stack of box blanks. By using a fluid cylinder as the motor mechanism, the holding force on a stack of box blanks can be predetermined.
