Abstract:
A method and apparatus for effecting the prospective forewarning diagnosis of sudden brain or heart death or other brain-heart and growth malady in a person comprises measuring the T-3 factor of the person, measuring the alpha frequency of the brain of a person as a function of the person's pulse rate, calculating the heart and brain weight as volume x specific gravity as a function of the alpha frequency, pulse and the T-3 factor and comparing the measured T-3 factor and the calculated heart and brain weight as volume x specific gravity to the normal values for the person's age. The deviation from the normal values is indicative of a prospective forewarning of sudden heart or brain death or other brain-heart and growth malady and effects the forewarning diagnosis thereof.
Abstract:
An apparatus and method for filling a CO2 system that provides carbonation and delivery of beverages to a user is provided together with a control valve for performing this method. The steps include: attaching a hose and pumping liquid carbon dioxide through an inlet fitting housed in a control valve assembly; causing the translation of a valve stem to isolate a gas port and a tank and a user port and directing the liquid carbon dioxide to a liquid port and a tank; and stopping the pumping of the liquid carbon dioxide upon reaching a pre-determined pressure and removing the hose allowing the translation of the valve stem to close the valve assembly from the atmosphere and allowing the liquid to boil to a gas to provide delivery and carbonation to the beverage.
Abstract:
A digital computing system includes at least a first and a second bus with at least a first master connected to the first bus and a second master connected to the second bus. The first master is capable of requesting the second bus through the first bus and the second master is capable of requesting the first bus through the second bus. Central conversion means receives both requests and has circuitry for generating a response signal to the first bus when both requests come simultaneously. The first master receives the response signal and continues the cycle, but without continuing the request for the second bus. The cycle is completed as though the request had been completed.
Abstract:
Certain embodiments of the present invention provide a fill gun apparatus for interconnection of a pump truck and a pressurized liquid delivery system. The fill gun apparatus can be easily attached and detached from an inlet port to deliver a pressurized fluid, for improved delivery, increased efficiency, increased safety, and decreased waste.
Abstract:
A gas line leakage monitor for beverage dispensing system is configured to prevent unintended environmental discharge of a beverage dispensing gas such as CO2. The monitor includes a gas inlet coupled to the source of gas and a gas outlet coupled to the dispensing portions of the system. The monitor includes a flow sensor detecting when gas is flowing through the monitor. The monitor includes a timer coupled to the flow sensor and tracking the amount of time that the flow sensor detects at least each episode of un-interrupted flow of gas through the monitor. The monitor includes a shut-off valve coupled to the timer for stopping the flow of gas through the monitor and to the system's dispensing portions when the timer indicates an episode of un-interrupted gas flow through the monitor meets a pre-set threshold. The monitor includes a manual reset for opening the shut-off valve.
Abstract:
A QREEG matrix synchronizer system under the aegis of a "master" QREEG tracing has electrodes and sensors for obtaining new computational diagnostic relationships between EEG, EKG, and other life-process data signals from a person's body. A controllable matrix carried by the person's body (into home, field, factory or military operational areas) assembles the data signals on separate channels, one of which carries the "master" combination of the EEG and EKG data signals denominated a QREEG signal. A signal processor makes feasible computing changes in magnitudes and ratios of these signals to detect the loss of or deviation in synchronization between different data signals on the separate channels, and between a data signal obtained at one time and stored for use at a later time and the data signal obtained on the same channel at the later time. These data include those of the waking state and those of the sleep-dream state. All matrix data pertinent to computational diagnostic programs are integrated to forewarn against brain, heart, or other disease if loss or deviation of synchrony occurs. The matrix computation (as well as any isolated tracing or the entire data matrix) is capable of being transmitted from portable instrumentation used in the field to private physicians' offices and/or military and naval bases or to civilian hospitals where confirmation by the accumulated knowledge and expertise in classical EEG-EKG configurations and with reference to data banks may be available.
Abstract:
A valve, system and method for the delivery of gases or liquids is shown where the delivery persons can fill the system without having to enter the building and the system can continue to deliver gas to the user. There is no interruption of service while the system is being filled.
Abstract:
A blood pumping system and method in which a selective backflow warning is generated in response to the detection of a backflow condition only in the absence of electrical interference that could cause the generation of a false backflow warning. Detection of a backflow condition is performed by activating the transmitter and receiver of a flow detector to determine the direction of blood flow and detection of the electrical interference is performed by activating the receiver of the flow detector while the transmitter is not activated. If electrical interference that could cause the generation of a false backflow warning exceeds a threshold, the system does not generate a backflow warning.
