    摘要: A stent assembly comprises a second stent body and a substantially tubular first stent body defining a first lumen and containing a side branch opening. In an undeployed state, the second stent body is at least partially comprised of rings having peaks and valleys at least some of the valleys of adjacent rings being interconnected by bridges. In an expanded state, the rings of the second stent body define a second lumen opening in fluid communication with the first lumen. The second lumen has superior body vessel coverage and is flexible enough to form an oblique angle relative to the longitudinal axis of the first stent body.

    摘要: Described herein are implantable medical devices, such as implantable or intravascular stents, for delivering a therapeutic agent, and methods for making such medical devices. In one embodiment, the medical device comprises a stent having a plurality of struts, at least one of which has a cavity disposed therein. A therapeutic agent is delivered from the cavity through and opening in a strut surface. In another embodiment, the medical device is a stent having a coating disposed on the side surface(s) of at least one strut for deliver of a therapeutic agent from the coating.

    摘要: A stent has an undeployed state and a deployed state. The stent has a primary body with an outer surface and an inner surface with a wall extending therebetween. The inner surface defines a first lumen having a first longitudinal axis therethrough. The primary body has at least two side branch portions which define secondary lumens having a second longitudinal axis therethrough. The first lumen and the secondary lumen are in fluid communication and in the deployed state one of the side branch portions deploy and the second longitudinal axis forms an oblique angle with the first longitudinal axis.

    摘要: A stent may comprise a plurality of serpentine bands connected by connector struts. The stent may further comprise a side branch cell having a plurality of outwardly deployable petals. Each serpentine band may have an approximate longitudinal axis. A portion of the serpentine bands may be flared in the unexpanded state, wherein a portion of the axis of each flared band is oriented helically about a portion of the stent. The bands may reorient during stent expansion, whereafter the axis of each band is oriented in a circumferential direction.
