摘要: A method for implanting a prosthesis centrally within a curved lumen includes loading a prosthesis into a delivery sheath, advancing the sheath in a patient towards the curved lumen to place at least the proximal end of the prosthesis within the curved lumen, and centering the proximal end of the prosthesis and/or the distal end of the sheath within the curved lumen. In a first advancing step, the outer catheter containing the inner sheath is advanced together towards the curved lumen to a location proximal of the curved lumen and, in a second advancing step, the inner sheath containing the prosthesis is advanced into the curved lumen to place at least the proximal end within the curved lumen while the outer catheter substantially remains at the location. After centering, the proximal end of the prosthesis is deployed centered within the curved lumen.

摘要: The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a stent, the method using a jig in which detachable protruding pins are installed at all respective location points at which circumference division lines and length division lines intersect each other, the method forming cells through intersection of wire by setting any one of the location points as a start point and repeatedly bending and moving the wire from the start point upward and downward to pass over the protruding pins located in diagonal directions, wherein a first stent woven such that intersection portions formed through the intersection of a wire are spaced apart from each other in a diagonal direction and arranged one for each length division line and a second stent woven to maintain the structural stability of the first stent and to prevent the first stent from being twisted can be provided as a single stent.

摘要: The present disclosure relates to an apparatus and method for deployment of a modular stent-graft system. In one embodiment, a modular system comprises a first stent graft having a tapered zone, a second stent graft configured for insertion within the first stent graft, the second stent graft comprising a tapered zone, wherein each tapered zone has an angle of taper and the angle of taper of the tapered zone of the second stent graft is substantially the same as the angle of taper of the tapered zone of the first stent graft, and wherein when the second stent graft is disposed within the first stent graft, the tapered zone of the second stent graft conforms precisely to the tapered zone of the first stent graft.

摘要: A stent design reduces the likelihood of contact among structural members when the stent diameter is reduced before insertion into the body. In one approach, an undulating link has a J-shaped profile or has an angled portion on one side at the peak of the link, in order to reduce contact during crimping. The stent may also include structural features that improve such aspects as flexibility, the coatibility of a drug coating onto the stent, flare reduction, stent retention within the body and/or reduction of the minimum diameter of the stent during crimping.
