摘要： Chimpanzee monoclonal antibodies and antigen binding fragments including a γ1-chain CDR3 region that bind hepatitis A virus (HAV) antigen are disclosed herein. The antibodies neutralize HAV. Also disclosed are methods for using these antibodies and antigen binding fragments in the detection of hepatitis A virus, the inhibition of infection of a subject with hepatitis A virus, and in screening for agents that affect HAV.

摘要： The present invention relates to the isolation and characterization of a novel neutralizing chimpanzee monoclonal antibody to hepatitis B virus. The invention provides such antibodies, fragments of such antibodies retaining hepatitis B virus-binding ability, fully human or humanized antibodies retaining hepatitis B virus-binding ability, and pharmaceutical compositions including such antibodies. The invention further provides for isolated nucleic acids encoding the antibodies of the invention and host cells transformed therewith. Additionally, the invention provides for prophylactic, therapeutic, and diagnostic methods employing the antibodies and nucleic acids of the invention.
