摘要： An integrated apparatus and method for screening an object for a target material is provided. The integrated apparatus comprises a housing and an integrated screener. The housing is positionable adjacent the object, and has a channel therethrough. The integrated screener is positionable in the housing, and comprises a fan, at least one filter, a heater and an analyzer. The fan is for drawing air carrying particles and vapor through the channel of the housing. The filter(s) is/are positionable in the channel of the housing for passage of the air therethrough. The filter(s) comprise(s) at least one metal foam having a plurality of pores therein for collecting and adsorbing a sample from the particles and vapor passing therethrough. The heater is for applying heat to the at least one metal foam whereby the collected sample is desorbed from the metal foam. The analyzer detects the target material from the desorbed sample.

摘要： A drinking vessel with a thumb operated electric mixer has a top lip and a bottom. The vessel is sized so that it is capable of handling with one hand in the same fashion as a beverage glass or cup. The vessel may include a handle member that extends beneath the bottom of the beverage container at least a distance equal to the outer diameter of the container. The handle member includes an outwardly extending handle that has a push button switch electrically connected to a power source and motor for driving a mixing propeller located in the container. A liquid-tight compartment at the bottom of the vessel houses the power source and motor. The beverage container and propeller are removable as a single unit from the handle member and liquid-tight compartment so that they may be thoroughly cleaned and the integrity of the electrical parts maintained.

摘要： The present invention describes an opening for engine compartment cooling. The opening includes a one-way valve that permits airflow only at speed. The valve allows cooling air to circulate past the engine without impeding the efficiency of the radiator. The size, shape and number of openings and valves may vary depending on cooling capacity or styling considerations. The opening includes a leading edge followed by an indentation defining a port for a one-way valve. A valve is fixed in the port so that airflow can occur only in one direction.

摘要： A radar surveillance system includes a plurality of satellites a plurality of medium earth orbit satellites to provide continuous, long dwell coverage of a region of interest. Each satellite has an antenna having a main reflector and a subreflector electromagnetically coupled to the main reflector. A phased array generates multiple electromagnetic beams positioned so the electromagnetic beams reflect from the subreflector onto said main reflector. The system may be used in determining slow moving targets using a combination of monopulse anomaly and target spectral width measurements. The system also performs synthetic aperture radar imagery and focussed area fast moving target detection using alternating slope linear frequency modulated pulses. The plurality of medium Earth orbit satellites include a self-contained communications system consisting of high bandwidth self-relay crosslinks, high bandwidth downlink, and direct broadcast downlinks for processed data.

摘要： An invalid mobile telephone call made within the service area of a vendor monitored by a vendor computer is detected by RF fingerprinting or the like results in transmission of a kill-call command over a TCP/IP network to a kill-call server that is interfaced with a mobile service center through a data link interface. The kill-call server determines whether the kill-call command is valid and, if so, then it transmits a message tear down request over the data link interface to an executive cellular processor which, if the kill-call capability is active, conveys a call termination message to the associated administrative call processing database node to effect the call termination.

摘要： A method and apparatus for interconnecting first and second networks that use the same protocols for communications by a third network. The third network is defined in the first and second networks as a single virtual communications link of the native type used by the first and second networks. In response to requests from initiating nodes in the first and second networks to communicate with destination nodes in the other of the first and second networks, routing computation services in the first and second networks compute routes through the first and second networks that will connect the originating and destination nodes and that include the virtual link as such a route. The virtual link is also used to remotely support the communication needs of dependent nodes in the first and second networks that do not have the ability to establish communications sessions within the networks on their own.
