摘要: Process for preparing a modified zeolite Y which process comprises subjecting zeolite Y having a silica to alumina molar ratio of at least 10 to calcination at a temperature of from 700 to 1000° C. wherein (i) the steam partial pressure is at most 0.06 bar at a temperature of from 700 to 800° C., (ii) the steam partial pressure is at most 0.08 bar at a temperature of from 800 to 850° C. , (iii) the steam partial pressure is at least 0.03 bar at a temperature of from 850 to 900° C., and (iv) the steam partial pressure is at least 0.05 bar at a temperature of from 900 to 950° C. and (v) the steam partial pressure is at least 0.07 bar at a temperature of from 950 to 1000° C., a modified zeolite Y obtainable by such process, zeolite Y having a silica to alumina molar ratio of at least 10, the infrared spectrum of which has a peak at 3700 cm−1but substantially no peaks at 3605 and 3670 cm−1 and zeolite Y having a silica to alumina molar ratio of at least 10, which zeolite Y has an acidity as measured by exchange with perdeuterated benzene of at most 20 micromole/gram.

摘要: A noble metal hydrocracking catalyst which has high selectivity for naphtha range products is provided. The hydrocracking catalyst comprises:a) from about 70 to about 90 weight percent of a Y zeolite, based on the catalyst having a silica to alumina mole ratio of from about 4.8 to less than 6.0, a unit cell constant within the range of about 24.50 to about 24.57, a Na.sub.2 O level of less than or equal to about 0.2 weight percent;b) from about 10 to about 30 weight percent, based on the catalyst of an alumina having a mercury intrusion pore volume within the range from about 0.55 to about 0.85 cc/g; andc) from about 0.5 to 1 weight percent, based on the catalyst of a noble metal; wherein said hydrocracking catalyst have a dispersivity of the noble metal of equal or greater than about 50% by hydrogen chemisorption measurement, a surface area of greater than or equal to 700 m.sup.2 /g by BET surface area measurement, a compacted bulk density within the range of from about 0.40 to 0.58 g/cc, and a mercury pore volume within the range of from about 0.4 to about 0.7 ml/g.

摘要: Molecular sieves are prepared by forming a reaction mixture slurry, spray drying the reaction mixture slurry to form particles, and heating the spray dried reaction mixture at a temperature and pressure sufficient to cause crystallization of the molecular sieve. The reaction mixture contains an organic templating agent capable of forming the molecular sieve. The template may be added to the reaction mixture either by adding all of the template prior to spray drying, or by adding a portion of the template prior to spray drying with the remainder being added after spray drying.
