摘要: A quoin formed of individual over-mount corner units constructed as simulated brick to match the adjoining wall panels forming the exterior cover of an exterior wall of a building is provided. The corner units are formed with a front portion configured as courses of brick separated by mortar joints joined to a rear plate that provides a support frame for the corner unit. Multiple standoffs are positioned on the rear plate opposite mortar joints formed on the front portion to provide a location for driving fasteners to mount the corner unit onto the building substructure. The overlapping nature of the corner units with respect to the wall panels allows the wall panels to be cut imprecisely at the exterior corner. The standoffs maintain a predetermined spacing between the building substructure and the rear plate to establish a channel for the drainage of moisture due to condensation or rain infiltration.

摘要: A corner panel for a veneer wall panel system includes a body having a fastener section extending in a first plane and a fastenerless section extending in a second plane. The first and second planes define an included corner angle A. In addition, a method is provided for securing a corner panel of a veneer wall panel system to a corner of an underlying support structure. That method includes the step of positioning the corner panel on the corner of the underlying support structure, fastening the corner panel to the support structure only along a first section of the corner panel and maintaining a second section of the corner panel free of any fasteners. In this way, it is possible to decouple any corner stresses between the corner panel and the underlying support structure.

摘要: A prefabricated wall panel has a precast body including at least one decorative design element. In addition, the wall panel includes a mounting element having a first end embedded in the precast body and a second end projecting from the precast body. A groove is formed between the precast body and the second end of the mounting element along a first edge of the precast body. A tongue is formed along a second edge of the precast body opposite the first edge. The tongue and groove cooperate to allow prefabricated wall panels to be more easily installed on a support substrate.

摘要: A plurality of different structural members for reinforcing a plate-like structure, such as a bushing tip plate for intended use in forming fibers from a fluid material supplied to a bushing assembly, are disclosed. Each reinforcing member includes a body having a first portion for attachment to the structure and a second portion having a profile with a variable height including at least one apex. The body may be integrally formed of a single piece of material, or two or formed from more separate pieces of material bonded or secured together. The body may be T-shaped, L-shaped, or F-shaped in cross-section. The second portion of the body may have an inverted V-shaped profile, an inverted W-shaped profile, or an arcuate profile. The at least one apex may be located at the midpoint or elsewhere along the length of the body.
