Abstract:
A signal acquisition system efficiently acquires a transmitted signal even at very low power. The system may synchronize to a preamble structure in the transmitted signal and, for example, determine timing parameters that locate the preamble with respect to system timing or other clock references. The system is particularly effective at acquiring weak power signals and is also robust against significant noise and other impairments, and therefore improves the ability of a receiving device that incorporates the signal acquisition system to acquire the signal and establish communication with other devices.
Abstract:
The present invention provides freeze-dried platelets and compositions comprising freeze-dried platelets for use as a diagnostic and calibration reagent for blood coagulation function. The invention also provides methods of diagnosing or monitoring blood coagulation function, including diagnosing or monitoring blood coagulation diseases and disorders. Kits for performing the methods of the invention are also included.
Abstract:
A rotary positioning structure is disclosed for a frame. The frame comprises a housing and a spindle hole disposed on the rear of the housing. The rotary positioning structure comprises elastic members and a rotary stand. Each of the elastic members comprises a tenon and the elastic members are arranged on a circular path surrounding the spindle hole. The rotary stand comprises a rotary shaft and a groove. When the rotary shaft is inserted into the spindle hole, the groove engages with the tenon so that the housing is supported in a first upright position by the rotary stand; also after said rotary shaft is inserted into said spindle hole and then the rotary stand is pivoted on the rotary shaft, the groove engages with another tenon of the elastic members so that the housing is supported in a second upright position by the rotary stand.
Abstract:
The invention discloses a touch-sensing device for an electrical apparatus. The touch-sensing device, according to the invention, includes a sensing panel, a detector, and a controller. The sensing panel includes an inner sensing region and an outer sensing region. The inner sensing region, disposed on the sensing panel, is substantially divided into a plurality of equivalent inner sensing sub-regions. The outer sensing region, disposed on the sensing panel, is at the outer edge of the inner sensing region. The outer sensing region is substantially divided into a plurality of equivalent outer sensing sub-regions. The detector is electrically connected to the inner sensing region and the outer sensing region. When an object contacts a region of the inner sensing sub-regions or the outer sensing sub-regions, the detector generates a corresponding detected signal. The controller is used to receive the detected signal.
Abstract:
A touch pad device, constructed in an electronic apparatus, includes a touch module further having a touch pad and an FPCB and a plurality of metal domes located under the FPCB. The FPCB located under the touch pad further has a plurality of holes and a plurality of sensor elements, in which the holes are dispersed amid the sensor elements. Each of the metal domes represents a function key. By providing the plural holes surrounding the sensor elements, flexibility of the touch pad device can be enhanced and over deflection upon the touch module can be avoided, while pressing the function key.

Abstract:
A system to be used to add non-listed characters (i.e., characters not listed in character key-in methods) to the vocabulary banks of character-key-in methods used in hand-held mobile communication devices is disclosed. Users of a mobile communication device can select a character or characters which are built in the system but not indexed by a certain character-key-in method (that is, the characters cannot be keyed in with that character-key-in method), index the aforesaid characters, using the indexing system/method of the character-key-in method, and then add them to the key-in method's character-indexing system so that subsequent users of the mobile communication device can use said character-key-in method to key in said (originally non-indexed/listed) characters.
Abstract:
The present invention is to provide a cellular phone capable of measuring temperature including a liquid crystal display, a CPU and an IR temperature measurement means coupled to the CPU, wherein a first GPO pin and a second GPO pin of the CPU are adapted to control power supply of a power supply IC and start or stop of the IR temperature measurement means respectively, and in response to receiving a temperature measurement signal, the CPU performs a plurality of processing and conversion steps to show a corresponding temperature on the display.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to an improved and integrated process for the extraction and purification of tocotrienols or tocopherols, carotenoids and sterols from vegetable and other edible oils. Fatty acids in the vegetable oils are subjected to alcoholic osterification to form ester-rich layer that includes fatty acid alkyl esters, carotenoids, tocotrienols or tocopherols, and sterols. The advantages of this process are that the tocotrienols or tocopherols, carotenoids and sterols are produced efficiently without any substantial decomposition or degradation of these phytonutrients.
Abstract:
An apparatus for extending “phone book” records of a subscriber identification module (SIM) card comprising a detecting module for accessing a subscriber identification code (SIC) of the SIM card and a memory is provided. A storage window marked by the SIC is defined in the memory. As the user edits the “phone book” records of the SIM card, a portion of the records is stored in the marked storage window.
