    摘要: A photodiode detector assembly for use with an ionizing radiation detector, the assembly includes a first layer having a first side and a second side and an array of backlit photodiodes disposed at the second side, and a second layer disposed proximate to and opposing the second side of the first layer. The second layer includes thru vias. Light rays entering the first layer at the first side and impinging the backlit photodiodes at the second side result in electrical signals at the thru vias of the second layer, thereby providing electrical output signals from the backlit photodiodes at a distance from the backlit photodiodes.

    摘要: A radiation detector includes a scintillator layer configured to absorb radiation emitted from a radiation source and to emit optical photons in response to the absorbed radiation. The radiation detector also includes a photodetector layer configured to absorb the optical photons emitted by the scintillator layer. The radiation detector further includes a reflector configured to reflect the optical photons emitted by the scintillator layer towards the photodetector layer and to absorb select wavelengths of optical photons associated with an afterglow emitted by the scintillator layer.

    摘要: A method of fabricating a collimator assembly includes attaching a first layer to a second layer and forming channels through the attached first layer and second layer. Openings are disposed in the first and second layers before attaching the first and second layers. The openings of the first and second layers are aligned before forming the channels. Forming channels includes removing material of the first layer, the second layer or both layers. The attachment of the first and second layers defines an overall thickness of the collimator assembly. A thickness of the first layer ranges from about 5% to about 10% of the overall thickness.
