摘要: The present teachings provide for a method and system for facilitating content download to one or more remote devices via an insecure communication channel. The method comprises the steps of receiving at least one shared secret from a device via an insecure communications channel, each shared secret encoded and functioning as an identifier for the device, transmitting an encrypted file, from a file server, to the device associated with the encoded shared secret, receiving the shared secret in a plaintext form a via a secure communications channel, receiving a confirmation authorizing the release of a decryption key, and sending a decryption key corresponding to the transmitted file, for which the authorization for the release of the decryption key has been received. The decryption key is encrypted using the shared secret if transmission is via the insecure channel.

摘要: The present disclosure allows for the downloading of large digital media files in a progressive manner by allowing for a transfer of such digital media to occur over various sessions. A file server is described that receives a request to transmit a file whereupon the file server locates such requested file in its memory. For verification purposes a unique identifier is computed for the requested file such as an MD5 checksum of the digital file. Thereafter an encryption key, K1, is chosen. Using a second key, K2, the first key and the unique identifier are encrypted, and the requested file is encrypted using the first key. Both these encrypted values are then transmitted. Subsequently, for example, after payment is received, an unencrypted form of the first key is also transmitted. The first key can then be used to decrypt the requested file to unlock full functionality of the requested file.

摘要: A portable entertainment system for a vehicle includes a portable housing, a transceiver, a processor, a memory, and a rechargeable battery. The transceiver communicates through RF signals with Portable Electronic Devices (PEDs) operated by vehicle passengers. The rechargeable battery supplies power to the transceiver, the processor, and the memory. The memory is coupled to the processor and includes entertainment content and further includes computer readable program code that causes the processor to communicate a list, of at least some of the entertainment content available in the memory, to the PEDs. A content selection message is received through the transceiver from one of the PEDs that requests communication of a selected one of the entertainment content identified in the list. The selected entertainment content is communicated through the transceiver to the PED. The transceiver, the processor, and the memory are enclosed within the portable housing.

摘要: An adjustable walking frame design for walking aid device is provided. The adjustable walking frame has a pair of beam assemblies where the pair of beam assemblies is pivotally mounted to each other. The pivotal mounting provides flexible angle adjustment between the pair of beam assemblies. The height and width of the beam assemblies can be adjusted to meet individual's physical measurements. The adjustable walking frame can be collapsed to occupy minimal space when the adjustable walking frame is stored or transported.

摘要: Embodiments disclosed herein provide a cache management system comprising a cache and a cache manager that can poll cached assets at different frequencies based on their relative activity status and independent of other applications. In one embodiment, the cache manager may maintain one or more lists, each corresponding to a polling layer associated with a particular polling schedule or frequency. Cached assets may be added to or removed from a list or they may be promoted or demoted to a different list, thereby changing their polling frequency. By polling less active files at a lower frequency than more active files, significant system resources can be saved, thereby increasing overall system speed and performance. Additionally, because a cache manager according to embodiments disclosed herein does not require detailed contextual information about the files that it is managing, such a cache manager can be easily implemented with any cache.
