摘要: A system and method are disclosed for performing digital multi-channel decoding of a BTSC composite audio signal. Each subsequent stage of the digital multi-channel decoding process is performed at the lowest sampling rate that yields acceptable performance for that stage. Analog-to-digital conversion of the composite audio signal is performed first to generate a composite digital audio signal. After analog-to-digital conversion, all signal processing may be performed in the digital domain. The composite digital audio signal is digitally filtered to frequency compensate for variations caused by previous stages of processing, including IF demodulation. Digital channel demodulation and filtering are performed to isolate single channels of the composite digital audio signal such as SAP, L−R, and L+R channels. SAP and L−R channels are DBX decoded resulting in corresponding decoded signals using a unique combination of digital filters that are an efficient translation of a corresponding combination of analog filters. The decoded L−R channel and the L+R channel are re-matrixed to form left and right stereo signals. Any of the SAP signal, left and right stereo signals, and L+R channel signal may be sample rate converted and output at a standard audio output rate.

摘要: A video processing device may compare a pixel or group of pixels of a current video picture to a pixel or group of pixels of a previous video picture. The video processing device may generate a motion vector for the pixel or group of pixels of the current video picture based on the comparison. The video processing device may determine an amount of filtering to be applied to the pixel or group of pixels of the current video picture. The video processing device may adjust the determined amount of filtering to be applied to the pixel or group of pixels based on the generated motion vector and based on a brightness value.

摘要: A system and method for decoding digital video by processing multiple regions of an image in parallel, even when there are dependencies between rows in the image, are disclosed. The method generally involves decoding multiple rows concurrently, with the start of decoding of a given row being delayed until portions of the other rows on which the given row depends have been decoded. The system generally comprises parallel processors, with one processor typically decoding one row and another processor typically decoding the row above it. In accordance with the present invention, however, any number or type of processors can decode, or perform decoding functions on, the image in parallel.

摘要: A handheld wireless communication device (HWCD) establishes an ad hoc network comprising interconnected networks for a user. The HWCD gains access to content on a first device and controls communication of the content from the first device via the HWCD to a second device. The HWCD enables the second device to consume the content. The content may be streamed from the first device via the HWCD to the second device. The first device is a service provider network device or other network device. The access may be authenticated and/or secure. Secure access to the content is extended from the first device to the second device. The ad hoc network is configured and/or reconfigured until communication is complete. The HWCD comprises multiple wireless interfaces. The ad hoc network comprises a PAN, WLAN, WAN and/or cellular network. The HWCD may hand-off among base stations during communication of the content.

摘要: A system and method is provided for a wireless mobile communication device (WMCD) to communicate a signal that may include user preference data to execute a function and/or receive a service in one or more identified remote transmitting/receiving (TX/RX) devices. The signal may be encrypted, and may be used to poll the availability and identity of the one or more remote TX/RX devices. The user preference data may be formatted in a standardized universal language with commands understandable by most remote TX/RX devices for rendering functions or services. If the one or more remote TX/RX devices receive competing and/or conflicting user preference data from a plurality of WMCDs, each of the remote TX/RX devices may arbitrate which function or service to perform according to privileges of each of the user preference data of the respective WMCDs or based on an arbitration decision in the one or more remote TX/RX devices.
