摘要: An information handling system coupling device inserts into an opening of first and second portions that overlap to couple the portions together, such as a main housing and hinge, a lid housing and hinge, and a tray disposed in a main housing interior. First and second magnetic elements insert into the opening with like poles aligned to repel each other and provide room to fit a third magnetic element between them having opposing poles to attract the first and second elements into an assembly. Protrusions, such as an I-shape, extend from the assembly into recesses of the opening to engage the coupling device in place within the opening.

摘要: An information handling system camera has an extruded aluminum housing that holds an inner frame supporting an image sensor assembled without the use of screws so that the camera readily disassembles to recycle or repair. A planar spring lock holds the camera assembly with flanges that fit into slots of the camera housing to engage the inner frame. The flanges release when a press of the planar spring lock into a recess of the housing biases the flange lip away from a catch of the inner frame.

摘要: An information handling system peripheral camera ensures privacy with a cover that minimizes distance of a camera module to a front opening of the camera housing. For instance, opposing cover members rotate about geared ends that engage to translate rotation between the members, where the members meet over a camera opening to block capture of visual images and move to opposing sides to expose the camera module. In an alternative embodiment, a rotating shutter arrangement selectively covers the camera for security and also covers a microphone to provide security against unauthorized audible access through the camera. Selective covering and exposing of a camera module, infrared camera, microphone and user presence detection sensor support adaptive security at a camera based upon end user context.
