Abstract: A texture spray gun (10), is provided with an air valve (12) design that can use several rotations of the control knob for full adjustment with smooth and steady flow change through the full range. The air shutoff (24) is integral to the fluid needle (26) actuation and consists of only two simple and inexpensive components. The body (20) of the spray gun (10) is produced as a one piece plastic piece which requires no secondary operations (after molding) to complete. The spray gun may be configured to operate with both hopper and pump feeds. A molded soft polymer one-way valve (48) is installed in the air passage (50) of the texture gun (10). A multi-hole air cap (52) is installed directly to the end of the needle of the texture gun (10) and gives a more consistent and desirable pattern than the prior art single hole arrangements.

Abstract: The mowing apparatus is made up of a long, narrow cutting assembly, a boat and two booms, one on each side of the boat, attaching the cutting assembly to the boat. There is a flotation tank at each end of the cutting assembly and the forward end of each tank is pivotally attached to the aft end of a boom. The forward ends of the booms are pivotally attached to the boat at about gunwale height and well toward the bow. All the pivotal connection axes are horizontal and perpendicular to the vertical plane through the centerline of the boat, allowing the cutting assembly to be raised and lowered between the surface of the water and the bottom of the body of water. The raising and lowering are done by allowing water into the tanks to cause the cutting assembly to sink and forcing the water out of the tanks with air to raise the cutting assembly. The cutting assembly is a sawtoothed blade operating between two sawtoothed plates. The end wise oscillations of the blade are powered by a pneumatic actuator. The tanks are sized and positioned to hold the cutting assembly a specific distance from the bottom when the tanks are flooded and to float the cutting assembly clear of the water when they are full of air. The bottoms of the tanks are shaped so that they plane on the water surface at relatively high boat speeds.

Abstract: A handheld airless fluid dispensing device comprises a pump, a drive element and an orifice element. The pump directly pressurizes a fluid. The drive element supplies power to the pump. The orifice element is connected to the pump and atomizes un-thinned architectural coating to a particle size of no greater than approximately 150 microns. The pump generates orifice pressures up to approximately 2.48 MPa and the orifice has an area of approximately 18.7 mm2. In one embodiment, the pump, drive element and orifice element are integrated into a handheld housing. In one embodiment, the pump comprises a reciprocating piston fluid pump comprising at least two pumping chambers configured to be actuated out of phase by at least one piston. In another embodiment, the reciprocating piston fluid pump comprises two pistons having different displacements that are linearly actuated by a wobble assembly driven by a gear reducer and an electric motor.
