    摘要: In one example embodiment, a pluggable optoelectronic module includes a shell with a front, back, and first and second sides. A first guiderail protrudes from the first side and extends from the front of the shell to the back of the shell. A second guiderail protrudes from the second side and also extends from the front of the shell to the back of the shell. A first thumbscrew runs the length of the module and is housed within the first guiderail. A second thumbscrew also runs the length of the module and is housed within the second guiderail. The two thumbscrews are configured to secure the module to a host device when the module is plugged into the host device.

    摘要: A multi-channel optoelectronic device is configured to establish a redundant status link with a remote device. The optoelectronic device can transmit N transmit optical signals to the remote device over a plurality of transmit channels and receive N receive optical signals from the remote device over a plurality of receive channels. The optoelectronic device includes one or more spare transmit and receive channels. When used with a remote device having spare transmit and receive channels, each device can establish a status link with the other and use the status link to switch out transmit and/or receive channels to identify and permanently switch out the worst transmit and/or receive channels. Alternately, the device can interoperate with a non-status-link enabled remote device by determining that the remote device is not status-link enabled, transitioning to a low transmit power mode, and transmitting and receiving over a plurality of default transmit and receive channels.

    摘要: A high-speed optical transmitter comprises multiple digital lanes that are provided to a bank of digital-to-analog converters. The analog signals are then used to Phase Shift Keyed (PSK) modulation using a Chirp Managed Laser (CML)-based transmitter, and potentially using dual polarization. A corresponding optical receiver receives the sequence of optical signals at a demodulator. For each polarization, the demodulator includes a corresponding demodulation channel that is configured to demodulate that polarization component of the optical signal into one or more signal components. Each of these signal components is converted into a corresponding digital signal using a corresponding analog-to-digital converter. In the case of higher-order PSK modulation (e.g., 8PSK or higher), for each polarization, the analog converter has a lower sampling rate than for QPSK modulation.

The package includes an outside housing and a second high-speed circuit positioned inside the housing. The high-speed transponder also includes a high-speed feed thru which includes an inside coplanar structure positioned inside the housing, a strip line structure positioned through the housing, and an outside coplanar structure positioned outside the housing. The second high-speed circuit is operably coupled to the inside coplanar structure, which is operably coupled to the strip line structure, which is operably coupled to the outside coplanar structure, which is operably coupled to the first high-speed circuit via the set of coplanar high-speed traces. The signal plane of the outside coplanar structure is flipped with respect to a signal plane of the inside coplanar structure.

    摘要: A medical diagnostic ultrasonic imaging system acquires receive beams from spatially distinct transmit beams. The receive beams alternate in type between at least first and second types across the region being imaged. The first and second types of receive beams differ in at least one scan parameter other than transmit and receive line geometry, and can for example differ in transmit phase, transmit or receive aperture, system frequency, transmit focus, complex phase angle, transmit code or transmit gain. Receive beams associated with spatially distinct ones of the transmit beams (including at least one beam of the first type and at least one beam of the second type) are then combined. In this way, many two-pulse techniques, including, for example, phase inversion techniques, synthetic aperture techniques, synthetic frequency techniques, and synthetic focus techniques, can be used while substantially reducing the frame rate penalty normally associated with such techniques.
