Abstract:
A system of providing a virtual machine using a device cloud is provided. The system includes a terminal that includes a user interface for a virtual machine request in a server providing cloud services, at least one component device that is registered in the server to be usable as a virtual machine, and a server that registers the at least one component device as a resource usable as the virtual machine, and controls the at least one component device to operate as the virtual machine usable by the terminal in response to a request from the terminal.
Abstract:
Provided is a multi-objective optimization method in a ubiquitous computing environment. The wearable computer includes: a wireless communication unit configured to receive features of condition information and features of service from the outside; a feature collecting unit configured to collect features of condition information according to user's input, and the features of the condition information and the features of the service transmitted from the wireless communication unit; and a computing unit configured to perform the multi-objective optimization by using the features collected through the feature collecting unit in order for optimized user service.
Abstract:
Disclosed herein is a synchronization apparatus and method. The synchronization apparatus includes a server synchronization determination unit for determining whether synchronization with a server is possible. A device search unit searches for a communication-enabled neighboring device if it is determined that synchronization with the server is impossible. A multi-hop synchronization processing unit transmits synchronous data to the neighboring device, thus enabling synchronization with the server via the neighboring device. In the synchronization method, whether synchronization with a server is possible is determined. If it is determined that synchronization with the server is impossible, a communication-enabled neighboring device is searched for. Synchronous data is transmitted to the neighboring device, thus enabling synchronization with the server via the neighboring device.
Abstract:
Disclosed herein are an apparatus and method for synchronizing a virtual machine. The apparatus includes a distributed image server and a virtual machine operation management unit. The distributed image server includes one or more servers distributed across a network, transfers a virtual machine image to a user using the servers, and synchronizes the virtual machine image. The virtual machine operation management unit provides a virtual machine management program so that the virtual machine image for the user can be executed on a terminal, used by the user, regardless of a location of the user.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to an apparatus and method for allocating and releasing an imaging device in a virtualization system. An image processing management module in the virtualization system, in response to an allocation command or a release command from the device management module, generates or removes an image processing module corresponding to the imaging device, and, upon generating the image processing module, transmits connection information on the image processing module to the imaging device so that image data from the virtual machine is transmitted and received between the imaging device and the image processing module. According to the present invention, it can be possible to establish a computing environment appropriate for an environment using various imaging devices in a ubiquitous environment by constituting a virtualization computing environment that allows a user to dynamically select an imaging device in a server where a plurality of imaging devices have been registered.
Abstract:
Provides is a motion based pointing apparatus including a pointing unit that includes an operating sensor sensing a motion of a user and a haptic output unit providing haptic feedback to the user; and a terminal unit that operates pointers displayed on a screen from the motion of the user sensed by the pointing unit and outputs haptic information corresponding to a change in the screen due to the motion of the pointer and the operation of the pointer to the pointing unit, wherein the pointing unit outputs haptic operation according to the haptic information output from the terminal unit.
Abstract:
Provided is a ubiquitous home media service apparatus and method based on single media multi devices (SMMD). The apparatus includes: a database for storing sensor information, a device profile, a user profile, and ne-media; a user interface for requesting the ne-media to an external ne-media providing server and receiving the corresponding ne-media; a ne-media process unit for dividing the received ne-media into neo-data, media including audio/video/text, synchronization/control information of each device, and identification (ID) information; a ne-media playing unit for playing the divided media; a device control and synchronizing unit for discovering peripheral device information, generating a cooperating device group, generating a synchronization signal, and recording the synchronization signal; and a network managing unit for transmitting the ne-media from the device control and synchronizing unit to a peripheral device play apparatus and a play auxiliary apparatus.
Abstract:
Provided is an apparatus for automatically installing/uninstalling peripheral devices, and a system and method for automatically detecting peripheral devices using the same. The system includes a plurality of peripheral devices for periodically transmitting each of peripheral device information for auto-detection within a predetermined network region; a peripheral installation information providing device for providing data and information required for installing each peripheral device; and a peripheral device installing/managing apparatus for determining whether the peripheral device is installed based on the peripheral device information periodically transmitted from one peripheral device within a predetermined network region, receiving data and information required for installing the peripheral device from the peripheral installation information providing device through a network, and automatically installing and managing the peripheral device.
