摘要： A plug connector (100) comprises an insulative housing (1), a plurality of terminals (2) retained to the insulative housing (1), a pair of latches (3) fit to the insulative housing (1) and a housing cover (4) attached to the insulative housing (1). The insulative housing (1) has a base portion (11) and a tongue portion (12) extending forwardly from a middle of the base portion (11). The terminals (2) are arranged on the tongue portion (12) in parallel. The housing cover (4) has a cylindrical portion (41) with a pair of slits (411) extending therethrough for the latch (3) partly extending through. Each latch (3) has a locking piece (31) provided with a front straight edge (311) to abut against with a front edge of a receptacle connector (900) when the plug connector (100) is inserted upside down to the receptacle (900).

摘要： A cable connector includes an insulative housing including two sidewalls and a mating slot defined between the two sidewalls, and a plurality of terminals received in the insulative housing. The terminals include contacting portions exposed to the mating slot and connecting portions behind a rear end of the insulating housing. The two sidewalls are loaded with a first row and a second row of the plurality of terminals respectively. The first row includes signal terminals and grounding terminals. A grounding plate is inserted in the insulating housing and between two rows of terminals. The grounding plate defines resilient arms and connecting legs, the resilient arms slant to the first row and touch with the grounding terminals.

A protecting mechanism (126) extends into the receiving space (101). The protecting mechanism (126) has a front end (1260) arranged at front of the position post (32) to make the receiving space (101) having a first insertion length (X) and a second insertion length (Y). The second insertion length (Y) is larger than the first insertion length (X).

This arrangement of the upper and lower ports shares a common main substrate, and is optimal from space usage due to having full advantage of opposed face areas defined by the main substrate.

The card connector includes an insulative housing (2), a number of contacts (3) retained in the insulative housing, a slider (41) assembled on the insulative housing and movable relative to the insulative housing, a spring (42) urging the slider along a card ejection direction; and a metal shell (7) covering the insulative housing for defining a card receiving space. The metal shell includes a spring leaf (711, 712) extending into the card receiving space. The memory card forms a metal plate (52) on a top surface thereof and a number of metal traces (51) on a bottom surface thereof. The metal plate is located above the metal traces along a vertical direction and the spring leaf contacts with the metal plate.

The metal shell includes a flexible beam (711) extending towards the card receiving space and a holding portion (712) at the free end of the flexible beam. The slider has a notch (413) releasably engaged with the holding portion. The slider is moveable relative to the insulative housing along the card insertion direction in response to a separation of the holding portion from the notch.
