    Abstract: Systems and methods for treating wood and wood products, including a structure defining a wood treating zone, an air heating zone, a heated air supply zone, and a cooled air return zone. Heating units feed conduits defining one or more heat transfer surfaces and an indirect heat exchange substructure. The heated air supply zone includes left and right heated air plenums, and the cooled air return zone includes a return duct, all internal of the wood treating zone. A movable cart moves spaced apart, stacked wood products into and out of the wood heating zone. The cart and wood thereon fit closely within but do not touch the wood treating zone. An air blower internal of the heated air supply zone and in fluid communication with the air heating zone and the heated air supply zone recirculates air. An exhaust blower vents some of the cooled air.

    Abstract: Systems and methods for treating metal pipe couplings, including a frame and insulated panels attached to the frame forming an oven. A pre-heat zone and a bake zone inside the oven, the pre-heat zone separated from the bake zone by a shared oven wall. A combustion burner and recirculation blower are positioned in opposite ends of the oven in a pre-heat zone combustion/recirculation chamber. Another burner and recirculation blower pair are positioned in opposite ends of the oven in a bake zone combustion/recirculation chamber. Heated air supply plenums are fluidly connected to respective recirculation blowers, and include direction-adjustable nozzles to direct heated air generally downward onto pipe couplings moving through the preheat and bake zones. Return air plenums positioned in each of the pre-heat and bake zones each have an air inlet, and an outlet fluidly connected to respective combustion/recirculation chambers.     Abstract: Insulated ovens include an oven entry enclosure having a quick cool-down fan and damper, a direct-fired, forced draft combustion chamber, a converging enclosure at a distal end of the chamber, an oven exit enclosure having an exhaust fan, and oven cool-down doors. Combustion burners form a first heated gas that heats a wet coated continuous metal sheet to form a dried, uncured continuous metal sheet having a first heated temperature higher than an initial temperature. The converging enclosure includes more burners, creating impinging flames that heat the dried, uncured continuous metal sheet, forming a continuous metal sheet having a dried, cured water-based coating having a second heated temperature higher than the first heated temperature. During cooling, actuators stop the coated continuous metal sheet upon receipt of a first signal, stop combustion except for pilot burners, open the cool-down doors and operate the quick cool-down fan to avoid waste. Burners may be relit in a second heating cycle.
