    摘要: A method for automatically controlling the thickness of product emerging from a rolling mill. Signals indicative of total roll force (F), rollgap position (S), angular position of one mill roll (v) and downstream product thickness (h) are utilized to obtain an output signal indicative of roll eccentricity affecting the true instantaneous rollgap position as a function of the measured mill roll angular position. The output signal may be use to compensate an estimate of instantaneous thickness of the product for the purpose of controlling the gap between work rolls. If preferred the output signal may be further processed to obtain an output signal indicative of the periodic roll eccentricity of a set of rolls having a common period of rotation or of a plurality of such sets.

    摘要: A method may be provided to operate a node of a radio access network communicating with a wireless terminal. The wireless terminal may be configured to provide a transmit buffer for data to be transmitted to the node during transmission time intervals, to transmit packets of the data from the transmit buffer to the node during respective transmission time intervals, and to provide buffer indicator bits with respective packets of the data during the respective transmission time intervals. The method may include: receiving a packet including data and a buffer indicator bit from the wireless terminal during a respective transmission time interval; and providing an estimate of a quantity of data in the transmit buffer at the wireless terminal responsive to a status of the buffer indicator bit. Related wireless terminals and network nodes are also discussed.

    摘要: The invention relates to a method in a radio communications network for controlling a transmission power of a user equipment (12) transmitting data to a radio base station (10) in the radio communications network. The radio base station (10) retrieves a target signal to interference ratio value and measures a signal to interference ratio of a signal transmitted with a current transmission power from the user equipment (12). The radio base station (10) then determines a user equipment capability of power control of the user equipment (12). Furthermore, the radio base station (10) computes a power control command based on the measured signal to interference ratio, the retrieved target signal to interference ratio, and the user equipment capability of power control, which power control command indicates a power control adjustment step of the user equipment (12). The radio base station (10) then transmits the power control command to the user equipment (12). The user equipment (12) calculates a transmission power step based on said received power control command and adjusts the transmission power by applying the calculated transmission power step to the current transmission power.

Further a cost function is formed based on the load factor for each user equipment that is to be scheduled for uplink transmission, wherein the cost function is approximated by a quadratic function. The throughput of all scheduled user equipments is maximized using a convex optimization of the sum of the individual cost functions, and the grant for uplink transmission is scheduled in accordance with the optimized cost functions.

    摘要: For power control in a wireless communication system, a node comprises means for obtaining power of signals received over a wireless signal channel and a power control signal unit. The power control signal unit (21) provides power control signals intended for the power control over the channel. A warper unit warps the power control signals by a first filter. A quantizer quantizes the warped power control signals, which are transferred to another node in the wireless communication system. The receiving node comprises a dewarper, dewarping the received signals by a second filter. The power control of the wireless signal channel is performed based on the dewarped power control signal. The filters are linear filters arranged for reducing an influence of quantization. The second filter is an inverse filter with respect to the first filter. The filters are preferably adapted by adaptors.
