    摘要: A method and an apparatus for an anticipatory thickness control in foil rolling by using characteristic lines stored in a process control computer of the individual manipulated variables (for example, strip tensions, rolling speeds) for various operating points (conditions of operation) or by using an on-line operating physical computing model, also in combination with a monitor control. The method includes the steps of determining the thickness deviations of the foil at the entry side of the roll stand and of compensating the thickness deviations by an anticipatory thickness control. The apparatus includes a thickness measuring device between the running-off reel and the rolling mill or the roll gap of the roll stand. The thickness measuring device is connected to a superordinated process control computer. Following the thickness measuring device is arranged a tensioning unit which serves to change the travel path of the foil strip between the running-off reel and the roll gap. For example, the tensioning unit elongates the travel path.

    摘要: In a previous process, the influence of roll eccentricities on the output thickness of the rolled material in a roll stand is suppressed by simulating the output signal of an oscillator and supplying this value to a position or thickness control for the roll stand, where the frequency of the output signal is set according to the roll rotation speed. In the process according to the invention, the amplitude and phase of the output signal are set so that the exit thickness of the rolled material is measured with a measuring delay in relation to the thickness reduction in the roll gap. A difference signal is generated from the delayed roll screw-down signal and a measured thickness signal multiplied by the sum of one and the quotient of the rigidity of the rolled material and the roll stand. The output signal of the oscillator is corrected according to the difference between the output signal and the difference signal. The output signal is phase shifted by the amount of measurement delay for a forward slip.

    摘要: A method for making delivery gauge corrections at low mill speeds during threading and tailing out of a workpiece by varying the interstand tension of the workpiece. The tension between the last two stands is used with a desired tension and the delivery AGC by tension mode of an existing delivery automatic gauge control (AGC) to change the speed of the downstream stands. During the threading and tailing out phases, the delivery AGC by speed is turned off and set to zero. In the full run phase, the interstand regulators are changed to a tension by roll gap mode, and an existing delivery automatic gauge control (AGC) by speed is used to provide a stand speed reference for the downstream stands. In the full run phase, the delivery (AGC) by tension is turned off an set to zero. In the tailing out phase optionally, the tension between each stand is used in a similar manner to provide a speed reference change for each stand immediately downstream from where a tension controller is located.

    摘要: The invention provides a new apparatus for the detection, measurement and display of roll and roll bearing eccentricity in a rolling mill, and also an apparatus for correction of such eccentricities. The apparatus comprises individual narrow band-pass filter modules, each dedicated to the detection and development of a signal corresponding to one eccentricity, such as fundamental back-up roll eccentricity, fundamental work roll eccentricity and fundamental bearing eccentricity, or any individual harmonics of the fundamentals that are of sufficient value to merit display and corrective action. The resultant signals from the different modules are summed and applied to a display, or employed to take corrective action. Such dedicated modules can be made relatively cheaply and are stable requiring little maintenance, as compared to the more complex equipment proposed hitherto, requiring shaft encoders and/or high speed computers. Preferably each filter module comprises a first frequency controllable phase locked narrow band filter which removes as much as possible of the extraneous "noise" of the rolling pressure signal, and a second matched filter which is able to operate rapidly with the cleaner signal provided to it by the first filter.
