Abstract: In accordance with an embodiment, a method for processing information associated with vehicular traffic includes generating an input signal that contains information associated with vehicular traffic and transmitting the information to a cloud-based server system. A control signal is generated in response to the information. In accordance with another embodiment, a traffic monitoring system has a data aggregator coupled to a malfunction management unit and to a traffic signal controller coupled to the data aggravator.
