    摘要： A security device protects information handling systems from theft with a reduced footprint at the information handling system by interfacing a key receptacle with a lock hook through a flexible member, such as a coaxial cable. Rotation at the key receptacle by a key translates through the flexible member to the lock hook so that the lock hook rotates to a locked position in a lock body integrated with the information handling system chassis. The flexible member avoids or reduces leverage placed on the lock body through the security device.

Sliding of the peripheral slice relative to the information handling system releases attachment devices, such as hooks of the peripheral device that couple to attachment points of the information handling system so that the peripheral device decouples from the information handling system.

A palmrest area is mounted on the exterior surface adjacent the keyboard. A scroll device is mounted in the exterior surface adjacent the palmrest area. The scroll device includes a first portion protruding from the exterior surface, and a second portion extending through the exterior surface and recessed into the base. The scroll device is bi-directionally rotatable relative to the exterior surface and resiliently depressible into the base.

    摘要： A portable information handling system has an automatic latching system that maintains a lid having a display in a desired position relative to a housing, such as a closed position having the lid closed proximate the housing and including a tablet configuration having the display exposed in the closed position. A post automatically extends from the housing into the lid when in the closed position to prevent rotation of the lid. The post automatically retracts into the housing when the lid is in the open position to provide an aesthetically pleasing latch solution for tablet portable information handling systems.
