    摘要: A method of applying varnish to a stator includes orienting a center axis of the stator substantially parallel to gravity, and orienting a crown end of stator windings upward and a weld end of the windings downward, relative to gravity. The crown end and the weld end of the stator are disposed on opposing sides of the core. The weld end is placed above a dip tank and varnish applied to the crown end of the windings with at least one nozzle. The nozzle is controlled along a first direction and a second direction, which are perpendicular to the center axis. The varnish substantially coats the crown end of the windings, runs through the slots, and drips from the weld end of the windings into the dip tank. The dip tank is raised to submerse the weld end of the windings but not the core.

    摘要: An interior permanent magnet machine includes a rotor configured to magnetically interact with a stator. First and second dividers are integrally formed within the rotor and configured to create a first layer of three respective first segments. Each of the respective first segments may be substantially arc-shaped. A plurality of first magnets may be positioned in the first layer. The first magnets may be substantially arc-shaped and defined around an arc center. A third and a fourth divider may be integrally formed within the rotor and configured to create a second layer of three respective second segments. The placement of dividers or structural webs provides for increased rotational speed and reduced rotational stress compared to an undivided arc-shaped magnet configuration.

The stator body includes a stator ring of generally annular shape and a plurality of stator teeth projecting radially inward. A first bolt hole is defined in either the stator ring or machine housing, and a first receptacle is defined in the other and is coaxial with the first bolt hole. A second bolt hole is defined in either the stator ring or machine housing, and a second receptacle is defined in the other and is coaxial with the second bolt hole. A first counter bore is coaxial with the first receptacle. A first hollow dowel is mated to the first counter bore and the first bolt hole, and defines a first dowel hole, which is coaxial with the first counter bore and the first bolt hole.
