Disclosed herein are an apparatus and method for analyzing a building. The apparatus for analyzing a building includes a configuration unit for configuring analysis settings for analyzing a target building; a calculation unit for calculating a distance based on similarity by acquiring information about the target building and information about a standard building depending on the analysis settings and for generating a result of analysis of the target building using the distance; and an output unit for outputting the result of analysis of the target building.

An apparatus and a method for measuring a position of a light are disclosed. The apparatus for measuring a position of a light includes: an inputting unit configured to receive position information on a building and a floor in which a user is positioned; a position coordinate calculating unit configured to measure distances between a position of the user and wall surfaces in the building in each direction and calculate a position coordinate of the user based on the distances in each direction; a position determining unit configured to apply the position coordinate to a plan view corresponding to the position information to determine an initial position of the user; and a position information combining unit configured to receive a light identifier depending on movement of the user and store position information of the light corresponding to the light identifier.
Abstract:
Disclosed herein is a visible light communication method and device using a DMX-512 network. In the visible light communication method, dimming data packets are received. Visible Light Communication (VLC) data packets are generated. The dimming data packets and the VLC data packets are scheduled so that one or more of the VLC data packets are transmitted to Light Emitting Diode (LED) lighting devices connected over a Digital Multiplex (DMX)-512 network between transmission times of the dimming data packets.

A method and apparatus for controlling Zigbee wireless lighting are disclosed. The apparatus for controlling Zigbee wireless lighting includes an address management unit, a packet conversion unit, and a client unit. The address management unit detects a Zigbee wireless address, corresponding to a light ID included in a command received from a user terminal, in an address management table. The packet conversion unit converts the command into a Zigbee light link (ZLL)-based packet. The client unit transfers the ZLL-based packet to Zigbee wireless illumination light corresponding to the Zigbee wireless address in order to control the Zigbee wireless illumination light.

An apparatus and method for providing indoor location information are disclosed herein. The apparatus includes a signal reception unit, a global positioning system (GPS) data reception unit, a frame generation unit, a scheduling unit, and a signal transmission unit. The signal reception unit receives a lighting control frame from a lighting control device. The GPS data reception unit receives location data from GPS satellites. The frame generation unit generates a location data frame by extracting the location of an illumination light stored in a lighting arrangement storage unit, modifying the location data and adding a header to the modified location data. The scheduling unit schedules the lighting control frame or the location data frame. The signal transmission unit transfers the lighting control frame or the location data frame to the corresponding illumination light based on the results of the scheduling of the scheduling unit.

An apparatus and method for generating olfactory information. The apparatus for generating olfactory information generates olfactory information that can be shared between a real world and at least one virtual world. The apparatus for generating olfactory information includes a sensor and a processor. The sensor recognizes a real-world odor, and acquires the original data of the result of the detection of the real-world odor. The processor acquires representative data including the evaluation of the quantitative numerical value of the real-world odor by analyzing the original data, and generates real-world olfactory information including both the original data and the representative data.

Disclosed herein are a Zigbee lighting control apparatus and method. The Zigbee lighting control method includes checking whether a Zigbee switch to which a Zigbee lighting control apparatus is applied is in a reset state, performing a broadcast-based link connection a number of times identical to a number of currently installed Zigbee lighting devices if the Zigbee switch is in the reset state, performing a broadcast-based link connection a number of times identical to a preset number of Zigbee lighting devices if it is checked that the Zigbee switch is not in the reset state, performing a unicast-based link connection on remaining Zigbee lighting devices that are not connected to a link, among Zigbee lighting devices within a preset range upon performing the broadcast-based link connection, and controlling Zigbee lighting devices that have been connected via the broadcast-based link connection or the unicast-based link connection.

A lighting control device and method are disclosed herein. The lighting control device includes a control unit and a control request unit. The control unit sets up a virtual multiple lighting control unit corresponding to a lighting control command received from a lighting management device. The control request unit selects a wireless light fixture corresponding to a light fixture ID included in the lighting control command, and makes a lighting control request to the selected wireless light fixture. The control unit transfers a response to the lighting control request to the lighting management device, and thus allows a corresponding lighting switch to control the wireless light fixture.

The present invention relates to a motion sensor and method of operating the motion sensor, which can adjust the range of a detection area. For this, the motion sensor according to the present invention includes a detection unit for outputting a variation signal corresponding to motion. A threshold level setting unit variably sets at least one changeable threshold level. A comparison unit detects the motion by performing a comparison operation based on the changeable threshold level and the variation signal at threshold sensitivity corresponding to the changeable threshold level.
