Abstract:
A finger-mounted remote control device capable of wirelessly transmitting a travel request signal to a materials handling vehicle. The finger-mounted remote control device includes a rigid mounting structure adapted to be mounted over at least one finger of an operator's hand; a mounting strap coupled to said rigid mounting structure for securing said rigid mounting structure to the at least one finger; a wireless transmitter/power pack unit coupled to said rigid mounting structure; and control structure coupled to said mounting structure and comprising a switch adapted to be actuated by an operator's thumb so as to cause said wireless transmitter/power pack unit to generate a travel request signal to the materials handling vehicle.
Abstract:
A tank filtration and dispersion system is provided for use in tanks containing liquid chemicals for filtering, agitating and dispersing the liquid. A housing has an electric motor attached thereto and connected to an impeller located in the housing for rotation upon actuation of the electric motor. A filter is removably attached to the housing and a fluid output is provided for dispersing the fluid drawn through the filter responsive to the actuation of the impeller. The output has a dispersion tube in the tank. A separate dispersion output may be is provided having a venturi and a spaced aspiration sleeve therearound. The impeller has vanes with flat leading edges and curved trailing edges to enhance pumping action.

Abstract:
Resolution and sensitivity of photoconducting light sensitive devices varynversely with temperature. Hence it is desirable to provide cooling means for photoconductive radiation detectors. One type of low temperature photoconductor is fabricated by placing the photomultiplier tube in a double-walled vacuum Dewar flask. In another type, the detector is mounted near a cryogenic projection, or cold finger, emenating from a refrigerator. In this case fabrication is critical, and great care must be exercised when the cryogenic cold finger is inserted in the Dewar well in order to avoid breakage. A different solution herein to the problem provides detector not as subject as prior devices to breakage of the Dewar detector wall.
