Abstract: A battery includes: an electrode group including an air electrode and a negative electrode that are stacked with a separator interposed therebetween; and a container housing the electrode group together with an alkaline electrolyte liquid. The air electrode includes a catalyst for an air electrode. This catalyst for an air electrode is a catalyst for an air electrode including an oxide containing at least bismuth (Bi), ruthenium (Ru), sodium (Na), and oxygen, and Na/(Ru+Bi+Na) representing an atomic ratio of the sodium to a sum of the bismuth, the ruthenium, and the sodium is 0.126 or more and 0.145 or less.

Abstract: An air battery module includes a plurality of air battery cells connected in series. Each air battery cell includes a negative electrode current collector, a negative electrode plate, a separator, a positive electrode current collector supporting an air electrode, a water-repellent film, and a flow channel plate. The positive electrode current collector includes a conductive frame and two conductive connection parts formed integrally with the frame and extending in a direction away from the negative electrode current collector. The two connection parts are formed so as to face each other with the air electrode interposed therebetween. When the positive electrode side of a battery cell is connected to the negative electrode side of an adjacent battery cell, the connection part of the battery cell is contact with the negative electrode current collector of the adjacent battery cell and electrically connected thereto.

Abstract: A nickel-hydrogen secondary battery includes an electrode group that includes a separator, a positive electrode and a negative electrode, and the negative electrode contains a hydrogen storage alloy having a crystal structure in which an AB2 type unit and an AB5 type unit are laminated, in which a PCT characteristic diagram at 80° C. includes a first plateau region having a hydrogen pressure Pd1 when hydrogen is stored by 0.25 times an effective hydrogen storage amount that is a hydrogen storage amount when a hydrogen pressure is 1 MPa, and a second plateau region having a hydrogen pressure Pd2 when hydrogen is stored by 0.70 times the effective hydrogen storage amount, and Pd1 and Pd2 satisfy a relation of 0.6≤log10(Pd2/Pd1).

Abstract: An air electrode catalyst for an air secondary battery includes a pyrochlore-type composite oxide having two or more crystal structures having a different amount of oxygen. A battery, according to some embodiments, includes an electrode group including an air electrode and a negative electrode stacked with a separator therebetween, and a container accommodating the electrode group along with an alkali electrolyte solution, wherein the air electrode includes the air electrode catalyst. The air electrode catalyst may have a pyrochlore-type composite oxide having a crystal structure represented by Bi2Ru2O6.92 and a crystal structure represented by Bi2Ru2O7.33.
