By a composition for color filter containing a near-infrared transmitting black coloring agent, a composition for color filter capable of forming an infrared transmission filter which is able to transmit an infrared ray (particularly, a near infrared ray) in the state of low noise derived from the visible light component even when it has a very thin thickness (for example, thickness of 0.5 μm), and an infrared transmission filter and a production method of an infrared transmission filter using the same, and an infrared sensor can be provided.

A color filter includes: a red pixel in which a transmittance of a light having a wavelength of 400 nm is 15% or less, and a transmittance of a light having a wavelength of 650 nm is 90% or more; a green pixel in which a transmittance of a light having a wavelength of 450 nm is 5% or less, and a transmittance of a light having a wavelength within a range of from 500 nm to 600 nm is 90% or more; and a blue pixel in which a transmittance of a light having a wavelength of 450 nm is 85% or more, a transmittance of a light having a wavelength of 500 nm is from 10% to 50%, and a transmittance of a light having a wavelength of 700 nm is 10% or less.

There is provided a composition, wherein when a film is formed to have a film thickness of 1 μm, light transmittance in a thickness direction of the film has a maximum value of 20% or less at a wavelength in a range of 400 to 750 nm, and light transmittance in a thickness direction of the film has a minimum value of 90% or more at a wavelength in a range of 900 to 1,300 nm, and an infrared transmission filter formed with the composition, a method for manufacturing an infrared transmission filter, and an infrared sensor comprising the infrared transmission filter.
