The optical element comprises: a first phase shift mask formed on a first optical material and constituted to generate a positive phase shift, and a second phase shift mask formed on a second optical material and constituted to generate a negative phase shift, wherein the phase shift masks are arranged serially on an optical axis, and wherein a refractive index of at least one of the first and second optical materials varies with the temperature at a rate of at least 50×10−6 per degree Kelvin.

摘要: A bolometer. In one embodiment a graphene sheet is configured to absorb electromagnetic waves. The graphene sheet has two contacts connected to an amplifier, and a power detector connected to the amplifier. Electromagnetic power in the evanescent electromagnetic waves is absorbed in the graphene sheet, heating the graphene sheet. The power of Johnson noise generated at the contacts is proportional to the temperature of the graphene sheet. The Johnson noise is amplified and the power in the Johnson noise is used as a measure of the temperature of the graphene sheet, and of the amount of electromagnetic wave power absorbed by the graphene sheet.

摘要: The invention refers to an electromagnetic radiation sensor micro device for detecting electromagnetic radiation, which device comprises a substrate and a cover at least in part consisting of an electromagnetic radiation transparent material, and comprising a reflection reducing coating and providing a hermetic sealed cavity and an electromagnetic radiation detecting unit arranged within the cavity. The reflection reducing coating is arranged in form of a multi-layer thin film stack, which comprises a first layer and a second layer arranged one upon the other. The first layer has a first refractive index and the second layer has a second refractive index different from the one of said first layer. First and second layer are of such layer thickness that for a certain wavelength there is destructive interference. The invention also refers to a wafer element as well as method for manufacturing such a device.

摘要: A cw terahertz image beam is upconverted by a nonlinear optical process (e.g., sum- or difference-frequency generation with a near IR cw upconverting beam). The upconverted image is acquired by a near IR image detector. The bandwidths and center wavelengths of the terahertz image beam and the upconverting beam are such that wavelength filtering can be employed to permit an upconverted image beam to reach the detector while blocking or substantially attenuating the upconverting beam.

摘要: A surface inspection apparatus and method of inspecting chip surfaces includes a laser generator that generates a periodic CW laser and is transformed into an inspection laser beam having a beam size smaller than a surface size of the chip. Thus, the inspection laser beam is irradiated onto a plurality of the semiconductor chips such that the semiconductor chips are partially and simultaneously heated. Thermal waves are detected in response to the inspection laser beam and thermal images are generated corresponding to the thermal waves. A surface image is generated by a lock-in thermography technique and hold exponent analysis of the thermal image, thereby generating surface image in which a surface defect is included. Time and accuracy of the surface inspection process is improved.

摘要: A sensing device with a glare shield has an infrared sensor and a glare shield. The infrared sensor has a body and a lens hood. The lens hood is mounted around an outer periphery of the body. The glare shield is conical, is detachably mounted around the lens hood of the infrared sensor, and extends in a direction away from the body of the infrared sensor. The glare shield prevents the infrared sensor from being affected by glare emitted from adjacent lighting devices. Accordingly, the sensing device avoids incorrect judgment of environmental luminance caused by lighting devices nearby and therefore generates less misoperation, so that the goal of being more power-saving can be achieved.
