摘要: A flow therapy apparatus can provide a hypoxic flow of gases to a user, for altitude training, athletic performance training, and other indications. The system can include an apparatus that can include a gas conduit, an ambient air inlet, and a hypoxic gas source inlet configured to connect to a hypoxic gas source and configured to create a hypoxic gas composition upon mixing of ambient air and the hypoxic gas. The system can also include a user interface, and a gas flow generation element configured to deliver the hypoxic gas composition to nares of the user at a predetermined flow rate of at least about 10 liters/minute. Methods are also disclosed.

摘要: This disclosure enables displaying of an intuitive and engaging enquiry on a touchscreen of a medical device (e.g., breathing apparatus, breathing assistance apparatus) that a patient is already using (e.g., in-home medical device). Since the patient is already accustomed to using the medical device for medical treatment control, the patient, who may be unwell, is more likely to access the enquiry and complete the enquiry. Further, making the enquiry intuitive and engaging encourages the patient to regularly interact with the enquiry, while ensuring that the enquiry is not overly tedious to complete. Responding to the enquiry can be made mandatory by refraining from activating or preventing activation of a component of the apparatus until a predetermined set of responses has been received.

摘要: A respiratory mask or other sealing interface can be used in combination with a nasal cannula or other unsealing interface in providing respiratory therapies for the treatment of COPD or OSA. The mask can act as a pressure vessel over the top of a nasal cannula, with the intention of increasing expiratory pressure whilst allowing the nasal cannula to provide a user with breathing gases of a high humidity and temperature. The ability to selectively apply increased expiratory pressure may be effective in reducing a user's breathing rate and thus beneficial in the treatment of respiratory distress.

摘要: The present disclosure provides to graphical user interfaces for controlling a flow therapy apparatus. The graphical user interface can provide a display of flow therapy treatment information and indicators of a patient's health. The graphical user interface can be configured to display the information associated with the patient on one or more user interface screens.

摘要: A mount configured for use within a respiratory system that provides a structure that facilitates coupling of a nebuliser downstream of a humidifier chamber and upstream of a conduit that delivers conditioned breathing gases to a patient or user. The mount can couple together a chamber, a nebulizer and a conduit.

摘要: A respiratory humidification system for providing humidification to gases that pass through a gas passage way before being provided to an airway of a patient is disclosed. The respiratory humidification system may include a liquid flow controller providing a controlled flow of liquid, a heating system including a heating surface configured to be located in a gases passage way and provide humidification to gases passing through the passage way, wherein the heating system receives the controlled flow of liquid, and one or more hardware processors providing deterministic control of a humidity level of gases passing through the gas passage way by instructing the liquid flow controller to adjust the controlled flow of liquid received at the heating system.
