    摘要: The lead- and cadmium-free glass composition for glazing, enameling and decorating glass or glass-ceramic articles contains high quartz and/or keatite solid solution crystals as principal crystalline phases after crystallization and a low thermal expansion coefficient of less than 2.times.10.sup.-6 /K at temperatures between 20 and 700.degree. C. This glass composition contains Li.sub.2 O, 0 to 5% by weight; Na.sub.2 O, 0 to 5% by weight; K.sub.2 O, less than 2% by weight; MgO, 0 to 3% by weight; CaO, 0 to 4% by weight; SrO, 0 to 4% by weight; BaO, 0 to 4% by weight; ZnO, 0 to 4% by weight; B.sub.2 O.sub.3, 15 to 27% by weight; Al.sub.2 O.sub.3, 10 to 20% by weight; SiO.sub.2, 43 to 58% by weight; TiO.sub.2, 0 to 3% by weight and ZrO.sub.2, 0 to 4% by weight, Sb.sub.2 O.sub.3, 0 to 2% by weight; F, 0 to 3% by weight in exchange for oxygen and up to 30% by weight of at least one inorganic pigment resistant to a burning-in temperature on the glass or the glass-ceramics. The sum total amount of Li.sub.2 O, Na.sub.2 O and K.sub.2 O must be from 1 to 10% by weight. An average bending tensile strength of a glass-ceramic or glass article completely coated with the glass composition after burning-in is greater than 30 MPa.

    摘要: A transparent, dyed cooktop is provided that has improved color display capability. The cooktop is made of a glass ceramic having high quartz mixed crystals as the predominant crystal phase, wherein the glass ceramic comprises none of the chemical refining agents arsenic oxide and/or antimony oxide, except for inevitable trace amounts. The glass ceramic has transmission values of greater than 0.1% in the range of visible light over the entire wavelength range greater than 450 nm, light transmission in the visible range of 0.8 to 5%, and transmission in the infrared at 1600 nm of 45-85%. The glass ceramic also includes a display apparatus that has a display device which is designed to display different operating conditions with different colors and/or symbols.

    摘要: A glass having excellent resistance against surface damages is provided. The glass includes a content of alkaline earth oxides of at least 0.3% by weight and of P2O5 of 0.1 to 4% by weight; the glass has at least one surface that has precipitations with a mean size of 1 to 20 μm. A method is further provided and includes melting a glass batch, yielding a glass melt, and casting the glass melt onto a float bath. The glass melt is maintained on the float bath at a temperature of above 1000° C. for at least 5 minutes, and yields glass. The glass has a content of alkaline earth oxides of at least 0.3% by weight and of P2O5 of 0.1 to 4% by weight, and the glass has at least one surface that has precipitations with a mean size of 1 to 20 μm.

    摘要: A method of ceramicizing a floated glass is provided where the glass ceramic material obtained thereby has high stability because of the special quality of the atmosphere in the ceramicizing process. The glass ceramics thus obtained have special surface properties that avoid crack formation. Thereby very high bending tensile strengths are achieved. These glass ceramics can be used as fire protection glass, hot plate of a cooker having a coating on the lower side, safety glass, panes of wood-burning fireplace inserts, in colored form as hot plate of a cooker, base plate, thermally resistant panel lining in furnaces and microwave facilities.
