    摘要: An optical adapter for a light-wave rangefinder comprising a light emitting means for emitting a distance measuring light wave modulated by a predetermined modulation frequency, and a light receiving means for receiving a reflecting light wave reflecting from a target point to which the distance measuring light wave is directed, wherein a time delay between the distance measuring light wave and the reflecting light wave is utilized to determine the distance to the target point, the optical adapter comprising at least one photoconduction means for conducting distance measuring light wave and the reflecting light wave, and at least one single objective optical means for projecting the distance measuring light wave from the photoconduction means towards the target point, for condensing the reflecting light wave reflecting form the target point and for guiding the light wave to the photoconduction means.

    摘要: A level detector comprising a container holding two fluids. Four capacitors are formed between four electrodes disposed on one side of the container cooperating with an opposing common electrode. Two of the capacitors have a capacitance value influenced by the position of one of the fluids in the container (related to container tilt) but in inverse relationships. A third capacitor is influenced by the dielectric value of the two fluids but in a manner independent of the tilt angle of the container. The fourth capacitor has a capacitance value influenced only by the dielectric constant of one of the two fluids. Based on the four capacitance values, circuitry is provided for generating a signal relating to the angle of the container.

    摘要: An output power and wavelength stabilizing apparatus of a semiconductor laser has an injection current supplying source adapted to supply injection current to a single-mode semiconductor laser, a first light receiving portion adapted to receive a part of the output power of the semiconductor laser through a first optical element with varying spectral characteristics in the wavelength area of the semiconductor laser and to output a first signal, a second light receiving portion adapted to receive a part of the output power of the semiconductor laser through a second optical element with varying spectral characteristics opposite to that of the first optical element and to output a second signal, a wavelength fluctuation detecting portion for producing a difference signal related to the first signal and the second signal and obtaining a fluctuation of the wavelength of the semiconductor laser based on the difference signal, an output fluctuation detecting portion for producing a signal related to the sum of the first and the second signals and obtaining the fluctuation of output power of the semiconductor laser based on the sum signal, and a temperature control portion for controlling the temperature of the semiconductor laser to a predetermined operating temperature based on the fluctuation of the output power of the semiconductor laser obtained by the output power fluctuation detecting portion so that the output power of the semiconductor laser can be maintained constant. The injection current supplying source is used to control the wavelength of the semiconductor laser based on the fluctuation of the wavelength of the semiconductor laser obtained by the wavelength fluctuation detecting portion such that the wavelength remains constant.

    摘要: An integrated-photocircuit interferometer (20) comprises a substrate (21) in which coherent light for measurement emitted from a light source (23) is directed through an exit waveguide (22) toward a corner cube prism (34) which can be movable with an object to be measured. The light reflected back from the prism (34) can enter an inlet waveguide (33) having branch waveguides (35, 36) which split the incident measurement light. Part of the light transmitted through the exit waveguide (22) is transferred to reference waveguides (26, 27) which provide different optical path lengths for the light propagated therethrough. The "reference beams of light" which has been transmitted through the different lengths of optical paths provided by the reference waveguides (26, 27) are introduced into the branch waveguides (35, 36) where interference occurs between the reference beams and the split beams of incident light from the corner cube prism (34). The interference will cause changes in brightness detected by photodetectors (37, 38) as the prism (34) is shifted toward or away from the interferometer (20). Since there is an optical path length difference between the reference waveguides (26, 27), a great number of changes can be detected by the photodetectors for a shift of the prism. Thus, the amount of the shift can be determined to a high resolution. In addition, the relationship in phase between the detected brightnesses will change depending on the direction of movement of the corner cube prism (34). The direction of the prism's movement can thus be detected.

    摘要: An optical system is fabricated in the form of one device, so that the simplified optical system is realized. A displacement is measured with a high resolving power utilizing an interference fringe. An interference measurement probe 2 receives a coherent light from a light source section 1, and divides the coherent light into a plurality of luminous fluxes. The interference measurement probe 2 emits a plurality of irradiation luminous fluxes at different angles. The plurality of irradiation luminous fluxes form an interference fringe and the interference fringe is irradiated onto an objective 8. A light receiving section 3 is disposed at a position where a reflection luminous flux from the objective 8 interferes, and receives an interference light reflected from the objective 8, thereby outputting a light receiving signal which is converted to an electric signal. A measurement section 4 performs processing for obtaining displacement of positions of the interference measurement probe 2 and the light receiving section 3 as well as displacement of the objective 8. A control section 5 is connected to a driving section 6, and controls the driving section 6 based on a measurement result of the measurement section 4, thereby making a stage 7 move in the Z-direction. On the stage 7, the objective 8 is mounted or provided.
