Abstract:
A method for handling of a jamming condition affecting a wireless device operating in normal coverage mode includes: determining a base station supporting enhanced coverage mode, providing signals sufficient for decoding in enhanced coverage mode, receiving enhanced coverage system information from said enhanced coverage base station, storing data relating to received enhanced coverage system information broadcast and/or the enhanced coverage base station, in case of detection of a jamming condition affecting signals from the current base station: checking ability to decode signals from said enhanced coverage base station indicated by said stored data, in case downlink signals of said enhanced coverage base station are decodable in enhanced coverage, starting operation with said enhanced coverage base station in enhanced coverage mode, and sending a jamming indication message to a remote server accessible via the cellular network by means of said enhanced coverage base station.
Abstract:
A method for data transmission in a cellular network to a wireless device, the wireless device being assigned to a group of low capability devices. The cellular network comprises a plurality of base nodes, including an active base node, which is the base node the wireless device is currently associated to, wherein a data connection with the wireless device is established. The active base node is configured to downlink communicate on a frequency band comprising a plurality of frequency blocks comprising a plurality of subcarriers. The method comprises: the active base node transmitting data to the wireless device in a frequency block, being during a scheduling period the only frequency block providing data to said wireless device, submitting the data dedicated for the wireless device in one first subframe of the frequency block, followed by at least one second subframe without data dedicated to the wireless device.
Abstract:
In a method for downloading subscription information to an identification unit connected to a wireless communication device operating within a cellular network, which includes at least one packet gateway node and a remote provisioning server being connected to it, the wireless communication device operates in a mode with limited access to the remote provisioning server. The method includes submitting a request comprising an authentication identifier and access information relating to one remote provisioning server from the identification unit on an assigned communication channel to the cellular network, forwarding at the cellular network said request using a connection tunnel preconfigured according to said access information from the packet gateway node to the remote provisioning server addressed by said access information, and providing a response message comprising data relative to subscription information through said preconfigured connection tunnel to the identification unit, when subscription information is detected.
Abstract:
A method for a wireless device of providing a voice service via packet switched communication with an operating cellular network, the wireless device is-being physically connected to an identification unit comprising a first memory block for storing at least one set of configuration parameters for voice service within a first cellular network. Prior to setting up a voice call, the device checks with the identification unit if configuration parameters applicable to the operating cellular network are available. If not, configuration parameters are requested from a parameter server accessible for the operating cellular network. The device receives said configuration parameters from said parameter server, and stores at least a portion of received configuration parameters in said first memory block of the identification unit. If the configuration parameters are available, the device applies said configuration parameters, and sets up a voice call using said configuration parameters.
