Abstract: Methods for adhering a substrate onto a surface of a ceramic component are provided. The method may include applying a first bond coating onto an attachment surface of the substrate, applying a first alumina coating onto the first bond coating on the attachment surface of the substrate, applying a second bond coating onto an outer surface of the ceramic component, applying a second alumina coating onto the second bond coating on the attachment surface of the substrate, applying a cement onto at least one of the first alumina coating and the second alumina coating, and adhering the attachment surface of the substrate onto the outer surface of the ceramic component. Connections between a metal substrate and a ceramic matrix composite component are also provided.

Abstract: A multi-channel pressure measuring device includes a plurality of sample conduits and a plurality of sample inlets. Each sample inlet is configured to receive a respective sample conduit. The sample conduit is configured to channel a sample fluid and an incidental fluid through a respective sample inlet. The multi-channel pressure measuring device also includes a sample block including a plurality of collection wells coupled to the sample inlets. Each collection well includes a diameter larger than a diameter of a respective sample inlet. The sample block is fabricated from at least one of a transparent material and a translucent material. The multi-channel pressure measuring device further includes a plurality of filter indicator elements. Each filter indicator element is positioned within a respective collection well. Each filter indicator element is configured to retain the incidental fluid therewithin and to indicate a presence of the retained incidental fluid.

Abstract: A gas turbine engine is provided. The gas turbine engine includes a compressor assembly and a combustion assembly in flow communication with the compressor assembly. The combustion assembly includes a plurality of fuel nozzles and a fluid conduit for delivering fuel to the fuel nozzles. The fluid conduit has a plurality of first outlet ports that are spaced apart from one another along the fluid conduit, and the fluid conduit also has a plurality of second outlet ports that are spaced apart from one another along the fluid conduit. The fluid conduit further has a first flow path extending along the fluid conduit in flow communication with the first outlet ports, and the fluid conduit also has a second flow path extending along the fluid conduit in flow communication with the second outlet ports. At least a portion of the first flow path is circumscribed by the second flow path.

Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to an integrated multi-chip module (MCM) sensor assembly having at least one electrostatic sensor and a circuit board. The electrostatic sensor includes an outer housing with an electrode and an amplifier configured therein. The electrode includes a first end and a second end separated by a predetermined length. The second end includes a sensing face that is substantially flush with an edge of the outer housing. Further, the electrode contains a plurality of electrons configured to respond to one or more charged particles that flow past the sensing face by moving either towards or away from the second end. Thus, the amplifier is electrically coupled to the electrode so as to detect a particle level flowing past the sensing face as a function of the electron movement. Moreover, the circuit board is configured within the outer housing and is electrically coupled to the sensor.
