A park assist system for providing guidance to park a vehicle into a parking area is disclosed. The park assist system includes an imaging device, at least one indicator, and a control module. The imaging device acquires image data representative of a field of view (FOV). The indicator provides feedback to guide the vehicle into the parking area. The control module is in communication with the imaging device and the at least one indicator. The control module includes control logic for monitoring image data representative of the viewable area. The control module includes control logic for determining if a specific predetermined object is located within the FOV. The specific predetermined object indicates the presence of the parking area. The control module includes control logic for activating the at least one indicator to provide feedback regarding the parking area.

A protective enclosure for an electronic control unit (ECU) to minimize risk of environmental intrusion includes a base portion, a first housing, a second housing, a first gasket, a vibration attenuating insert, a first electrical connector, a second electrical connector, a third electrical connector, and a tether. The first housing is sealably assembled onto the base portion, and the first housing and the base portion define a first chamber to house the telematics module. The second housing and the base portion define a second chamber. The tether attaches the base portion and the second housing.

Abstract:
An augmented reality based interactive troubleshooting and diagnostic system and related operating methods are presented here, including a diagnostic communication method for a vehicle having an onboard diagnostics subsystem. An exemplary embodiment of the method uses a mobile user device to obtain self-diagnostic information generated by the onboard diagnostics subsystem. The method continues by sending a query to a solution database system, wherein the query includes the obtained self-diagnostic information and vehicle configuration data descriptive of the vehicle. The mobile user device receives solution data provided by the solution database system in response to the query. The solution data addresses at least one topic associated with the obtained self-diagnostic information. The method continues by operating the camera and the display element in response to the received solution data to perform an augmented reality procedure associated with the at least one topic.
