Abstract: A cartridge seal is provided for sealing a shaft (4) with respect to a housing (2) and is intended to be a slide ring seal arrangement (12) for a centrifugal pump. The cartridge seal includes a shaft protection sleeve which is rotationally connected to the shaft (4) by a retaining ring, a support (24) for incorporating the cartridge seal into a housing opening of the pump housing (2), a slide ring which is rotationally connected to the shaft protection sleeve and a counter slide ring which is rotationally connected to the support (24), as well as an enclosed space (30) within the sealing arrangement. The space (30) is fluidically connected to a sealing gap formed between the slide ring and the counter slide ring, and is at least partially prefilled with liquid in order to prevent dry running when the pump is operated for the first time.

Abstract: A multistage centrifugal pump (1) has impellers (9) arranged on a common shaft (8), which is rotatably arranged within a pump casing (2-4). One end of the shaft (8) is led out of the casing (2-4) for connection to a drive motor and another shaft end (15) is rotatably mounted in the pump casing (2-4). The shaft end (15) which is mounted within the pump casing (2-4) is subjected to a counter-force which is produced by way of pressure subjection via a conduit connection to a delivery side of the pump. An axial seal (11) is provided on the shaft end (15) arranged within the pump casing (2-4). The rotating part of the axial seal is led on the shaft end and the non-rotating part is led, axially movably, within the pump casing (2-4). A sealing arrangement is provided between the pump casing and the axially movably mounted part.

Abstract: A centrifugal pump (1) includes a pump casing and a shaft (11) which is rotatably mounted therein and on which an impeller (10), for delivering fluid, is arranged rotationally fixed. A cartridge shaft seal (13) is arranged between the shaft (11) and an opening (16) of the casing, through which opening the shaft (11) is led. The cartridge shaft seal (13) includes a sleeve (22) which surrounds the shaft (11) at least in the region of the opening 16 and which is connected to the shaft (11) releasably and rotationally fixed, by way of a clamping device (29) which is arranged on the outer side of the sleeve (22). The clamping device (29) includes clamping jaws (32) which only engage on the outer side of the sleeve (22) and non-positively connect the sleeve (22) to the shaft (11).

Abstract: A multi-stage centrifugal pump includes pump stages (6), with impellers (13) arranged on a rotatable shaft (12) arranged within a pump casing. The shaft passes through a chamber (8), provided within the pump casing, and is sealingly led out of the pump casing for connection to a drive motor (11). A shaft ring (22) is fixedly and sealingly connected to the shaft (12) and has one side, at least in sections, that is subjected to the pressure of the pump and is arranged in or on the shaft. An axial seal (19) is provided with a rotating part formed by the shaft ring (22) or a seal part (23) arranged thereon and with a non-rotating part formed by a counter-ring (24) or a seal part which is arranged thereon. The counter-ring (24) is radially sealed with respect to the chamber (18) and is axially movably guided within the chamber.

Abstract: A centrifugal pump includes at least one pump stage (14). This pump stage (14) includes an impeller (18) which is mounted rotationally fixed on a pump shaft (26). Apart from the pump stage (14), the centrifugal pump is equipped with a turbine wheel (32) which is arranged on the pump shaft (26), without a movement coupling to the pump shaft, in the delivery flow of the centrifugal pump. This turbine wheel (32) forms a transducer of a flow measuring device. A blading of the turbine wheel (32) is such that a torque exerted by the delivery flow onto the turbine wheel (32′) is directed counter to a torque exerted via the pump shaft (26) onto the impeller (18).
