摘要: A battery pack for an electric vehicle or a hybrid vehicle may include a housing, a stack of battery cells disposed within the housing, and a cooling subassembly. The housing typically holds the cell stack together, and the cooling subassembly typically cools the cell stack to prevent damage to the battery cells and to maintain the performance of the battery cells. The cooling subassembly may include a cold plate defining a liquid flow channel and one or more thermoelectric devices (TEDs) that are operable to cool the cell stack when current is supplied thereto. Heat spreaders may be employed within the battery pack, and exemplary configurations of components to thermally and mechanically couple the cooling subassembly are described.

摘要: A secondary battery includes a battery element including a positive electrode, a negative electrode, and an electrolytic solution, a housing member configured to accommodate the battery element, and a safety valve mechanism attached to the housing member. The safety valve mechanism includes a valve member including an opening valve portion configured to be opened; and an opening member including a plurality of opening portions radially arranged in a region opposed to the opening valve portion from a center of the region as a base point, and a plurality of protrusion portions radially arranged in a region outside the plurality of opening portions from the center and the plurality of protrusion portions protrude toward the plurality of opening portions. A number of the opening portions and a number of the protrusion portions are equal to each other, and each of the plurality of opening portions and each of the plurality of protrusion portions are opposed to each other in a direction toward the center.

摘要: The battery pack has a laminated body in which unit cells are laminated one on another, a cell case having a first opening and containing the laminated body, and a first lid member to tightly close the first opening. The first opening is positioned to face, in connection with a unit cell laminated direction, a first face of the laminated body. The first lid member is configured to, if an internal pressure of the cell case is lower than atmospheric pressure, deform while keeping the tightly closing state, come into contact with the first face of the laminated body, and apply a pressure based on a differential pressure between atmospheric pressure and the internal pressure of the cell case to the contacting face.

摘要: Various embodiments of the present invention relate to a secondary battery, wherein a technical problem to be solved is to provide a secondary battery capable of maintaining an electrical insulating state between a case (can) and a cap assembly even after a gasket is melted due to short-circuiting and heat generation. To this end, the present invention provides a secondary battery comprising: a cylindrical can; an electrode assembly received, along with an electrolyte, in the cylindrical can; a cap assembly for sealing the cylindrical can; and a gasket interposed between the cylindrical can and the cap assembly, wherein the gasket further includes an insulating member having a melting temperature higher than a melting temperature of the gasket.

摘要: A battery includes a can, a jelly roll contained in the can, a top insulator contained in the can adjacent to and above the jelly roll, and a battery cap. The battery cap is welded to an inner surface of the can adjacent to and above the top insulator and includes an outer conductive ring, an insulator ring, and a conductive top plate, wherein the outer conductive ring, the insulator ring, and the conductive top plate are crimped together. The battery cap further includes a conductive rupture plate electrically connected to the conductive top plate and a cathode electrically connected to the conductive rupture plate and extending into the jelly roll. The battery may further include an opening in a central portion of the conductive top plate and a central portion of the conductive rupture plate cover welded upon the opening in the central portion of the conductive top plate.
