摘要: A method of manufacturing an erosion-shielded turbine blade includes providing a turbine blade for use with a rotary machine. The turbine blade includes an airfoil extending between a root and a tip. The airfoil includes a pressure side and an opposite suction side, and each of the pressure and suction sides extends between a leading edge and a trailing edge. The method also includes printing a green body part by an additive manufacturing process by selectively depositing a binder solution across a particulate erosion-resistant material, and sintering the green body part to produce a post-sintering erosion shield that includes densified erosion-resistant material. The method also includes coupling the erosion shield to the leading edge of the turbine blade.

The inspection system also includes a positioning system and at least one housing. The at least one housing is coupleable to the at least one retention member at each of a series of circumferential inspection locations. The at least one housing includes at least one probe. The positioning system cooperates with the at least one retention member to position the at least one probe at each of the circumferential locations. The at least one probe is configured to send and receive a signal through an interior of the cylindrical member.

摘要: Various embodiments include a system for machining a hole in a turbine blade. The system can include: a mount for engaging a first side of a turbine rotor, the mount including: a drill plate for coupling with the first side of the turbine rotor, the drill plate having: a body; a feed opening on a first side of the body; a passage extending from the feed opening through the body; and a second opening on a second side of the body, the second opening coupled with the passage and positioned to align with the pre-formed hole in the turbine rotor; an alignment bushing for engaging the pre-formed hole in the rotor at a second side of the rotor; and a cutting device for extending through the body and alignment bushing, the cutting device for machining the hole in the blade, the cutting device aligned along a chamfer axis relative to a primary axis of the turbine rotor.

摘要: Various embodiments include an ultrasonic detection method, performed using an ultrasonic detection system having a set of corresponding transmitting phased array devices and receiving phased array devices, the method including: for each of a plurality of static positions about a portion of a machine rotor: transmitting, at a corresponding transmitting phased array device, a set of ultrasonic waves through the portion of the machine rotor, and receiving, at the corresponding receiving phased array device, the set of ultrasonic waves after transmission through the portion of the machine rotor, to obtain a set of ultrasonic detection information about the machine rotor; and forming an ultrasonic representation of the machine rotor by aligning the sets of the ultrasonic detection information about the machine rotor obtained from each of the plurality of static positions about the portion of the machine rotor.

The block assembly further includes an adjustment mechanism operable, when the body is coupled to the frame, to move the locking block in a second direction that is substantially orthogonal the axis of the gear, such that at least one locking tooth is received between a circumferentially spaced pair of the gear teeth to prevent movement of the toothed gear.
