Abstract: A method of installing a turbine assembly is provided. The method includes assembling a support member for supporting a turbine assembly during installation. The support member includes a platform having a plurality of modular platform components oriented to define an upper surface of the platform. The method also includes positioning a linear actuator on the upper surface of the platform. The method further includes positioning a column on the linear actuator. The method includes lifting the turbine assembly onto the column. The platform, the linear actuator, and the column are sized to support the turbine assembly.

Abstract: A system for laterally moving an industrial machine is provided. The system includes a pair of rail elements configured to be positioned laterally below and support the industrial machine, the rail elements allowing the industrial machine to be moved laterally from a first operative position to a second, maintenance position; and a pair of linear actuators configured to laterally move the industrial machine as from the first, operative position to the second, maintenance position. The rail elements may include a first skid configured to couple laterally to an underside of the industrial machine at a first axial position; and a second skid configured to couple laterally to an underside of the industrial machine at a second axial position. First and second segmented support rails are positioned in sliding, aligned contact with the first and second skid, respectively, and are configured to be supported on a respective machine foundation.

Abstract: A thermocouple assembly includes a thermocouple probe fixedly contained within a probe insulation sheath. Also included is a protection tube having a first end, a second end, and a hollow portion extending in a longitudinal direction of the protection tube from the first end to the second end, the hollow portion configured to receive the thermocouple probe and the probe insulation sheath therein. Further included is a radiation shield integrally formed with the protection tube proximate the second end of the protection tube. Yet further included is a nut configured to threadingly engage a threaded portion of the protection tube proximate the first end of the protection tube, the nut configured to positionally fix the thermocouple probe and the probe insulation sheath upon engagement with the protection tube.

Abstract: A block assembly for locking a toothed gear housed in a frame includes a body shaped to couple to a portion of the frame adjacent to the gear for translation in a first direction parallel to an axis of the gear, and a locking block coupled to the body that includes at least one locking tooth shaped complementary to at least one gear tooth of the gear. The block assembly further includes an adjustment mechanism operable, when the body is coupled to the frame, to move the locking block in a second direction that is substantially orthogonal the axis of the gear, such that at least one locking tooth is received between a circumferentially spaced pair of the gear teeth to prevent movement of the toothed gear.
