The one or more acoustic attenuation layers include an outer surface portion and an inner surface portion. A structural layer is provided on the outer surface portion of the one or more acoustic attenuation layers. The structural layer includes an external surface that defines a duct configured and disposed to pass gases from the turbomachine system.

The processor is configured to derive NF and FF noise measurements based on the signals and to synchronize the NF and FF noise measurements to create synchronized NF and FF noise data. The processor is configured to analyze the synchronized NF and FF noise data to create a NF and an FF noise signature. The processor is configured to diagnose root causes of noises generated from the power generation system and to report the root causes.
