摘要: One embodiment of the present invention sets forth a technique for supplementing user-specified text for a search with context information to generate search results that is more closely matched to the user's needs. A context search component maintains a snapshot of the user context and additional context-based queries are generated and corresponding searches are performed. The search results of the context-based queries are merged with the results of the user-specified text query and displayed for the user. When the user accesses a resource listed in the merged search results, the context-based terms mentioned in the resource are identified to the user.

摘要: A user data engine residing on an endpoint machine generates a current user context reflecting a specific flow of operations performed by an end-user when interacting with a software application. A context engine residing on a sever machine compares the current user context to one or more stored user contexts included in a context database and generates a similarity value based on each comparison. A resource engine identifies resources in a resource database that are associated with the stored user contexts and then generates a relevance score for each resource based on the similarity scores corresponding to the stored user contexts with which those resources are associated. The resource engine transmits a resource list reflecting the identified resources to the user data engine based on the relevance scores. The user data engine displays on a display screen of the endpoint machine information associated with resources reflected in the resource list.

摘要: A user data engine records profile data supplied by a user and usage data that is based on interactions between the user and a software application. A group data engine receives a set of user data comprising the profile data and the usage data for each user of a plurality of users. The group data engine determines a similarity value between each pair of users of the software application. The group data engine identifies groups of similar users based on the similarity values by executing one or more clustering algorithms. A user may then search for other users and groups of users of the software application and may then receive information from the users and/or groups of users that is related to use of the software application.

A unified GUI is presented to each device in which the other devices sharing the virtual workspace are represented by GUI elements, with the location of the other local devices present within the same local environment corresponding to a display location of the corresponding GUI element around the perimeter of the GUI screen. A first plurality of video frames are captured and processed to recognize hand gestures therein. Dragging, an element of a user interface control, in response to recognition of a discrete control hand gesture in the second plurality of frames. The discrete control of a user interface control using mid-air hand gestures allows precise setting of system parameters associated with the user interface control.

The method further includes receiving a manipulation action of at least one attribute field control, updating an attribute value in response to the manipulation action, and updating the visible list portion based on the attribute value. The method may be used with touchscreen displays, and with virtual or augmented reality displays.

摘要: Methods, devices, and processor-readable media for adjusting the control-display gain of a gesture-controlled device are described. Adjusting the control-display gain may facilitate user interaction with content or UI elements rendered on a display screen of the gesture-controlled device. The control-display gain may be adjusted based on a property of how a mid-air dragging gesture is being performed by a user's hand. The property may be the location of the gesture, the orientation of the hand performing the gesture, or the velocity of the gesture. A hand that becomes stationary for a threshold time period while performing the dragging gesture may adjust the control-display gain to a different level. Control-display gain may be set to a different value based on the current velocity of the hand performing the gesture. The control-display gain levels may be selected from a continuous range of values or a set of discrete values. Devices for performing the methods are described.
