The system includes a traffic masking pattern that is used to obscure activity on the system from potential attackers.

    摘要: The combination of a thermoplastic polymer and a thermosetting polymer, provides a pigment system for producing coated printing papers. The thermoplastic polymer and thermosetting polymer, suspended in well-known coating binders and carriers, is applied to the web substrate on a standard paper machine. The amount of thermoset, preferably at least about 25% by weight of the pigment solids, improves ink receptivity and allows adjustable control of finished paper gloss. The amount of thermoset added to the pigment system is limited, however, preferably below about 75% by weight of the pigment solids, so that the finished printing paper obtains a Gardner 75.degree. gloss of at least about 40, at calendering pressures of less than 500 PLI.

    摘要: The performance of a RAKE receiver for indoor multipath WLAN applications on direct sequence spread spectrum signals having relatively short codeword lengths comprises a channel-matched filter and codeword correlator front end, plus a signal combiner to which the codeword correlation component is applied. The signal combiner is supplied with a bias-corrected input calculated by a distorted codeword signature (power) generator, which is operative to generate and store a set of N codeword power correction values. The signal combiner combines correction values into the codeword correlation for each potentially transmitted codeword Sk. This serves to correct each correlation codeword metric by a de-biasing power component |Sk|2 for the unequal multipath-based distortions of the codeword energies. The output of the signal combiner is coupled to a peak detector, which selects a minimum distance-based ‘de-biased’ output as the transmitted codeword.

    摘要: A channel estimator for use with the wireless digital data receiver facilitates processing of a preamble symbol sequence received over a multipath communication channel to enable the impulse response of the channel to be rapidly estimated, and thereby set the parameters of the receiver's decision feedback equalizer. During the preamble dwell interval, selected estimates of one or more received preamble symbols within a plurality of successive data symbols are repeated, in order to generate a longer sequence of preamble symbol estimates. The receiver's processor then employs this longer sequence of data symbol values, to solve an associated set of linear equations for estimating the multipath channel's impulse response.

    摘要: An RF communication system is for operating in the presence of a repetitive RF interference source powered from an Alternating Current (AC) power line. The system uses redundant transmission synchronized to the power line to ensure accurate reception by at least one second device. The RF communication system includes a first device powered from an AC power line which also powers the repetitive RF interference source. The first device, in turn, preferably includes an RF transmitter for transmitting in a frequency band of the repetitive RF interference source, a power line sensor, and a data transmit controller. The data transmit controller generates a plurality of data packets with each data packet including an error detecting portion. The data transmit controller also operates the RF transmitter to produce repetitive first and second transmissions of a same data packet responsive to the power line sensor. Accordingly, at least one of the first and second transmissions occurs during an OFF period of the repetitive RF interference source. The second device also preferably includes a data receive controller for receiving the repetitive first and second transmissions of same data packets and selecting one based upon the error detecting portions thereof to thereby avoid interference from the repetitive RF interference source.
