    摘要: Voids, cracks or other similar defects in substrates of thermal barrier coated superalloy components, such as turbine blades or vanes, are filled with resin, without need to remove substrate material surrounding the void by grinding or other processes. The resin is cured at a temperature under 200° C., eliminating the need for post void-filling heat treatment. The void-filled substrate and resin are then coated with a thermal barrier coating.

    摘要: A rotor for an axial flow turbomachine is provided. The rotor includes a plurality of rotor discs that are arranged in stacks and clamped together with at least one tie rod. At least one of the rotor discs of the rotor comprises a smaller outer diameter than one of the neighboring rotor discs and that the difference in diameter is compensated by a drum surrounding the rotor disc with the smaller outer diameter as a ring. The drum may be made of a heat resistant material. The rotor discs surrounded by the drum may be made of a less expensive material. Furthermore, the drum may include at least one more blade ring than the rotor discs that are surrounded by the drum.

    摘要: A method for welding to a superalloy material without causing cracking of the material. The method includes the steps of depositing a weld strip (18) of a weldable material onto a superalloy substrate material (12) using a spray deposition process (20) and then forming a weldment (26) to the weld strip. None or a controlled amount of the substrate material (12) is melted during the weld in order to maintain the concentration of strengthening elements in the local melt within a zone of weldability. The spray deposition process may be a thermal process such as HVOF or a cold spray process. A groove (16) may be formed in a surface (10) of the superalloy substrate material to receive the weld strip. A diffusion heat treatment step may be used to improve adhesion between the weld strip and the superalloy material.

    摘要: An ink cartridge includes an ink bag for containing ink. The bag is sealed along the bottom to form a bottom seam and is sealed along the bag sides to form side seams. The cartridge includes a housing having first and second side walls defining a cavity for receiving the bag. A first compressible foam sheet is disposed in the cavity between one of the side walls of the housing and one of the walls of the bag and adjacent the side seams. A second compressible foam sheet is disposed in the cavity between the other side wall of the housing and the other bag wall and adjacent the side seams. The foam sheets supply a uniform distribution of pressure along the side seams of the bag as ink is withdrawn from the bag and expand to assist in the uniform delivery of ink from the bag.
