    摘要: In systems for winding wire on electrodynamic machine stators, stators may be transferred between stator conveyance apparatus, winding shroud installation and removal apparatus, wire winding apparatus, wire lead termination apparatus, or other apparatus. Some transfer devices may secure stators in housings fixed to arms that may be rotated around an axis to move stators between stations. Some transfer devices may have stator grasping devices that may be rotated and translated to move stators between stations. Wire winding shrouds may be secured to a stator to facilitate winding and released from stator after wire is wound on the stator. A device for securing shrouds to the stator may be fixed to the stator and may remain fixed to the stator during transfer between different apparatus. Some devices for securing shrouds and stators may be integrated into housings. Some housings may be fixed to transfer devices along one side of the housing.

    摘要: Apparatus and method for winding at least one electric wire W on a coil support (10) of a core of a dynamo electric by using a wire dispensing member (19) means (21, 25) for rotating the coil support with respect to the dispensing member (19). It is foreseen to provide a relative movement of the dispensing member (19) with respect to the coil support (10) to maintain the angular orientation constant during winding. Furthermore it is foreseen to press on a portion (WP) of wire wound on the coil support (10) where the portion of wire (WP) is located immediately adjacent to a portion of wire that still has to be wound on the coil support (10). Engaging occurs also of the wire portion (WP) wound on the coils support and that extends to the dispensing member (19) when passage from one turn to another occurs for the stratification; the engagement occurring in opposition to the direction (Z′) of stratification of the wire. Pressing on the wire (W) can be accomplished in a direction (K) having an angle (E) that is more than zero and not perpendicular to an axis of the coil support.

    摘要: Methods and apparatus for replacing an old wire threaded through a flyer winder with a new wire are provided. A first end of the old wire is connected to a first end of the new wire. The wires may be connected by twining, clamping, welding or the like. A second end of the old wire that extends from one of the winder's flyers is then connected to a collection device, and the old wire is collected until the new wire has been threaded through the flyer winder along the same path traveled by the old wire. The collection device may be an armature or similar structure having recesses for collecting the old wire during wire change-over or replacement. Preferably the collection device is configured so that conventional coil lead connection operations may be used to expedite wire change-over or replacement.

    摘要: The present invention concerns solutions for disposing the wire leads of a wire coil along trajectories that have predetermined positional references relative to the dynamo-electric machine component. The present invention proposes to provide a wire lead manipulator that operates to dispose the wire lead by entering within extremely narrow gaps on a dynamo-electric machine component at high speed and with a lower risk of the wire lead manipulator colliding with the accessory parts of the component. Using the solutions of this invention, these achievements are possible for dynamo-electric machine components with very small spaces between accessory components that do not allow the passage of conventional wire lead manipulator apparatus.

    摘要: Methods and apparatus for replacing an old wire threaded through a flyer winder with a new wire are provided. A first end of the old wire is connected to a first end of the new wire. The wires may be connected by twining, clamping, welding or the like. A second end of the old wire that extends from one of the winder's flyers is then connected to a collection device, and the old wire is collected until the new wire has been threaded through the flyer winder along the same path traveled by the old wire. The collection device may be an armature or similar structure having recesses for collecting the old wire during wire change-over or replacement. Preferably the collection device is configured so that conventional coil lead connection operations may be used to expedite wire change-over or replacement.

More specifically, the present invention is directed to methods and apparatus for increasing time the winding components are operating on an armature winding system. The invention includes a loading/unloading unit and a holding unit that may be operated independently under most circumstances. The independent operation enables the winders of the present invention to operate at increased duty cycles, thereby increasing throughput. Additionally, the apparatus of the present invention increases the likelihood that armatures remain properly indexed during the loading transfer process to further increase system efficiency.

The flyer arm of a winder built in accordance with the principles of this invention is positioned so that the extreme delivery point of the wire is aligned and practically over the slots of the armature where the coil is being wound. Additionally, the flyer arm can be easily and quickly substituted on the winder to conform to the armature being wound, ensuring that the extreme delivery point of the wire is aligned and practically over the slots of the armature where the coil is being wound. This feature of the invention contributes to a simpler design of the winding guide. Accordingly, traditional guide surfaces for capturing the wire coming from a distant position are no longer required.
