摘要: A system and method are provided for data fusion between portable electronic devices and wearable accessories that is used to improve location information, particularly with respect to vertical location. A barometer sensor in a wearable accessory is used to obtain relative accurate height information, and an ultra wide band (UWB) radio is used to determine the distance between the wearable accessory and the portable electronic device. At a second timestamp, a barometer in a wearable device is used to calculate a difference in elevation between the first timestamp and the second timestamp. This measurement, along with a measured distance between the devices, can be used to accurately determine elevation. The wireless accessory and the portable electronic device communicate the obtained height and distance information. Accordingly, accurate navigation signals may be provided, even where multiple levels of roadways overlap, such as in parking garages or complex highway interchanges.

A device having a first antenna system for communicating over a first wireless link and a second antenna system for communicating over a second wireless link may be provided. For different transmit power levels of the first and/or second wireless links, an antenna coupling factor between the first antenna system and the second antenna system may be measured for different beamforming configurations of the first antenna system, a received signal strength indicator (RSSI) of the first and/or second wireless link may be measured for the different beamforming configurations of the first antenna system, and a beamforming configuration at each of the different transmit power levels with the measured antenna coupling factor and the measured RSSI may be stored in a memory as a predefined beamforming configuration.

The described systems and techniques include a user equipment having a desensitization manager application that directs the user equipment to determine a presence of a desensitization condition. The desensitization manager application further directs the user equipment to transmit, to a base station, a first message that requests the base station to allocate, to the user equipment, a portion of resources used for a supplementary uplink between the user equipment and the base station. After receiving a second a message from the base station that identifies the allocated portion of the resources, the desensitization manager application directs the user equipment perform uplink transmissions using the allocated portion of the resources.

摘要: This document describes systems and techniques directed at concurrent communication in multiple time-division duplex (TDD) bands. As new industry standards (e.g., the Fifth Generation New Radio (5G NR) standard) are being implemented, more TDD bands are becoming available for wireless communications. Generally, manufacturers will add additional antenna systems for each TDD band, but this method may become costly and need extra space, which is already limited, within the user device In various aspects, the concurrent communication system includes a radio frequency (RF) modem module configured to operate on multiple TDD bands, which may include bands that are located near each other on the RF spectrum. The concurrent communication system further includes transceiver circuitry with at least one transmission chain and at least four reception chains. The architecture of this system offers an efficient and inexpensive way to communicate on at least two TDD bands concurrently with reduced hardware cost.

摘要: Implementations relate to configuration of wireless communication signals between devices. In some implementations, a method includes determining a transmission scenario associated with transmission of wireless signals of a particular wireless communication protocol from a first device to a second device. The transmission scenario specifies one or more transmission characteristics for the signal transmission. A test message is sent wirelessly from the first device to the second device according to the transmission scenario, and a reply message is received from the second device in response to test message. The reply message includes one or more signal quality indicators that indicate a signal quality of the test message. The transmission scenario is selected as a designated scenario based on the signal quality indicators, and data is wirelessly transmitted from the first device to the second device according to the designated scenario.
