摘要: A device for wireless communication including a wireless transceiver, a printed circuit board (PCB) coupled to the wireless transceiver, a first antenna and a second antenna. The first antenna is coupled to the PCB at a feed point and grounded at a ground point. The first antenna is a quarter-wavelength antenna communicating signals with the wireless transceiver at a first frequency band. The second antenna is coupled to the first antenna at the feed point and grounded at a further ground point. The second antenna is a half-wavelength antenna communicating signals with the wireless transceiver at a second frequency band.

摘要: The present disclosure relates to compact, dual-mode ultra high frequency (UHF) radio frequency identification (RFID) reader antenna systems and methods capable of supporting both long range and short range applications. The present invention includes a dual-mode antenna design, a dual-mode RFID reader utilizing the dual-mode antenna design, and an associated usage method. The dual-mode antenna design may include a patch operating mode for long range applications and a slot operating mode for short range applications. Additionally, the dual-mode antenna design may include mechanisms to improve the patch operating mode bandwidth, circular polarization in the patch operating mode, and dual polarization in the slot operation mode.

摘要: A system for a supplemental power source for a hand held portable electronic device is provided. A super capacitor is connected in parallel to a main battery of the portable electronic device. When the main battery becomes disconnected, the super capacitor is used to power the portable electronic device. The super capacitor is also used to provide compensation for the internal impedance of the main battery and the path impedance between the main battery and the load.

摘要: A loading of a twisted folded monopole (LTFM) includes a first antenna portion and a second antenna portion. The first and second antenna portions are mutually coupled to support a lower band for wireless communications. The LTFM also includes a third antenna portion and a fourth antenna portion. The third and fourth antenna portions generate self resonance in a higher band for wireless communications.

摘要: A mobile computing device that dynamically and automatically manages all network adapters on the device to obtain the best and most effective balance of network connectivity and power consumption without requiring operator or user application intervention. Performance is increased by lowering power consumption (longer battery life) and decreasing transaction latencies, providing a device that has flexibility and ease of use. According to one aspect is a system that includes a data analysis component that monitors parameters associated with a device and a mobility policy manager component that provides balance of network connectivity and power consumption based at least in part upon the monitored stimuli.
